I agree with past reviewers that the staff were friendly and the theater is comfortable and engaging. Really my only issue for my first visit was the food service. My daughter and I decided to try the theater for the first time to watch a 6:30 sat showing of Godzilla. We arrived at 6:10 to get food since it was not a dine in option theater. Although there were only 6 people in front of us, the line seem not to move as only one line was open and the person seem to be going back and forth getting stuff. Eventually two more opened up and we had ordered our food by 6:30. Given our drink and cinnabon, we stepped aside and waited for my daughter's pizza meal. The rate at which the food came out seemed like it was being prepared one at a time. There was always a considerable waited time between food orders coming out. Our pizza came out at 6:47 and without the fries. My daughter said it was okay and we went to into the theater to watch our movie to see the last part of the last preview. Although the staff was very nice the theater was not overcrowd but it seemed to be understaffed in terms of the food area. Also they staff at the counter spoke rather softly and quickly. At the end of the order quickly rushing out about donating to a cause. Maybe put up signage about the cause so while we are waiting we can be better informed? Overall an okay experience. I have to say for the price and experience, AMC Menlo was a...
Read moreRead previous review about how hospitable a male "manager" Bryan was to a Regal customer on his visit to the theatre one day. "Bryan's" or "Brian's" hospitality/professionalism must have been short lived as our encounter tonight was the total opposite! Over 20 minutes waiting on a line for popcorn and when we voiced our frustration over the wait Sir Bryan was hostile and dismissive. FYI, we voiced our frustration after hearing numerous patrons mumbling under their breathes about the long wait, as well. We had to step off the line because the movie had started, sit our kids and return to the concession stand, all the while leaving our boys alone in the theater. By the way, when I spoke to Sir Bryan and loudly informed him that I had to leave my boys alone to come back out for snacks, he respond "And what do you want me to do"? Other PARENTS were visibly dismayed by his lack of concern or obvious heartless response.
In addition, I didn't go to "Mangerial School" only have 2 Bachelors and a Masters degree from NYU but, the escalators would make more sense if the right sided one went UP and the left sided went DOWN maybe Sir Bryan could correct that as well, right after his attitude!
I will go back to my previous theater,...
Read moreI went to see Final Destination: Bloodlines yesterday night by myself. I enjoyed watching a movie in theater alone for my first time. When I got there, I showed that I purchased my ticket already. I then went to place a small order of popcorn 8/10 I just wish that their small size was a smaller size so that I can actually finish my popcorn. I bought plan cheese pizza, by the way the size is so cute! And they cut the pizza into Eight slices, the dough is very thin though. I rate the Pizza 5/10 but I definitely believe it tastes a lot better than Seven Eleven pizza; I also got a beverage. The seats inside of the theater recline. You have a descent size table to place your food on. Oh! The best part, no one can put their feet on the back of your chair because each row is blocked with a small wall; just tall enough after you sit down in the seat. Of course the AC was on, it wasn’t on high. Those who are anemic might want to bring a scarf, sweater, maybe even a small throw blanket. I carried my neck scarf and layered up and was still cold. That’s just something to remind people of especially wanting to relax comfortably while watching a movie in theater. I personally would recommend this theater but then it’ll be too many...
