Renewing Wellness — Local services in New York

I wish I would have listened to one of the previous reviews but I had hopes that this place might be decent. Where do I begin? As soon as I walked in the guy told me that he couldn't give me an hour "because it was too busy." I found that an odd thing to say being as though I did make a reservation and because that's just not how you do business, but I continued anyway. He said he could do 45 minutes and that they new price would be $40 instead of $45. I said ok. During my massage at least 2 people walked in my room to talk to the guy who was giving me a massage. And the guy who gave me the massage even picked up his one. As he gave my massage he was a bit too rough and din't seem to adjust very well after me telling him. I paid for the "Bodyworks" and he did not massage my arms, hands, or feet. He said finished and when I asked him about the feet, he simply said "no feet, sorry." I didn't argue, headed out and gave them my $40. As I was leaving the lady I paid said "wait, this doesn't include tip." I'm thinking to myself 1. What professional place does this and 2. Where in the world do you even deserve at tip. But they got me and I buckled. All this to say: They are hustlers and you should take your money to another establishment. I guess that's what i get for trying to look for a cheap...

I’ve never written a negative review of any place in my life, and I really believe most people who write one star reviews are whinny babies, but this place was awful. Maybe they were having a bad day, but the woman giving me a massage wasn’t trying at all and would constantly leave to answer the phone or door. The fourth time it happened, I just put my clothes back on and left. Others seem to like this place and I heard multiple people in the lobby ask my masseuse during my session for a guy named Charlie so maybe try him, but I’d recommend going...

i’m conflicted. the technique of the massage therapists is great. but i’ve been here 3 times, because i kept wanting it to become my spot. i like to get massages a lot, and this is right by my work. but unfortunately, each time i came in they switched massage therapists on me at some point, and then the second person did the leg that the other did, leaving one leg unmassaged. also, similar to another reviewers experience- one time i had the man that was also in charge of answering the door and phone. so he left the room at least 25 times....
