Facility is clean and maintained, in a good neighborhood of Park Slope and prices are good. Staff is also very nice. Having said all that, I will not go back to this place - I had a one hour massage. But it was like a 1-hr rub. The massage was so light, there were plenty of times where it felt like a tickle and not a massage - it was very annoying. I even mentioned to the therapist plenty of times that the touch was very soft and almost a tickle. She would apply a LITTLE more pressure. It’s highly irritating to sit for an hour for an ineffective massage. This place must be used to VERY VERY SOFT inactive people who cant take ANY kind of pressure for a massage. I work out and it’s very apparent upon touch, still my therapist kept the softest lightest touch I have ever experienced on a massage.
I felt like it was a waste of my time going here, and immediately looked to book another massage at a different place. If you like soft touch and rubs on your massage, this is your place. If you’re an active person and looking for a true massage, find a...
Read moreI came across this place on Groupon and when I saw the positive reviews, I was excited for my 50 mins full body massage with hot stones. However, I left disappointed because the massage therapist only massaged the back of my body. The spa advertised that this is a FULL body massage on Groupon, however I was never turned. This is the first full body massage that I've ever received that only focused on the posterior part of the body. When I asked the massage therapist why my front was never massaged she told me that I needed to purchase more time (keep in mind that my session was 50 mins).
Although the price was cheap and it's close to my neighborhood, I will not return. It was only when I left that i saw the services document which only highlighted back. The spa should have been clear about this on Groupon and not falsely advertised...
Read moreWorse massage I've ever had.
It was too much pressure. The masseuse did not listen to me saying 'ow', 'this is too painful', 'stop'. My shoulder is now in pain - when I was saying this. My shoulder simply clicks due to the bone structure, I think the masseuse thought this was a knot - which it is not. Unfortunately, I think the masseuse did not speak much english to be able to understand and respond.
This isn't an issue with the single masseuse, but my husband also had another masseuse, which also has left him in pain. He is very muscular, and now has bruising on his back and is in pain today.
I would recommend all masseuse at this place, try their massages out on each other to see they are not enjoyable.
The only enjoyable part was the hot stone which lasts for 3...
