they were all really nice but they seemed very unprofessional. when i walked in one of them were grating someones foot and the grater literally flung off. when she put it back, she didnt even sanitize it at all. when i sat down for her to do my nails, i saw old nail polish and someone else’s dead skin left over on the paper towels. it definitely had to have been used over multiple times. there was dust all over the place and when she was done filling my nails, all the nail dust was flung onto me when she flipped the paper towel. it was very disappointing and frustrating. when she did my nails, i had already told her which nails goes with which color and she messed it up. its okay, i can still have her fix it. i tell her, she didnt hear, or maybe shes pretending that she cant hear me. i tell her a second time, she continues to apply the color. okay, i tell her a third time and she finally fixes it. the gel was applied uneven and it was obvious, it could’ve been an easy fix if she added one more layer. in addition, when she was all done the towel she wrapped my hand in was too hot and it left my hand super red and sensitive. they were really nice and kept complimenting my hands and nails but i would not go back. :(
edit: i paid $30 gel nails just for them to start chipping the second day. i only do light work and they shouldn’t...
Read moreI took my wife here to get two of her nails corrected as they had broken off. We came in, showed the nail technicians right away and they told us to sit and wait in an English so bad it was more like pantomime. After twenty minutes someone came by and made a big theatrical affair over how the nails were broken and how difficult it would be to do her job. She asked for $10 for each nail, which was shocking to my French wife. She exclaimed « really? That price to fix two nails? » but it was nothing mean. The nail tech and her colleague threw up their arms and said « no ». They refused to provide a service presumably because they were offended by my wife’s harmless remarks, and they ignored us. They wouldn’t even respond. They averted their eyes and pretended we weren’t there. I tried to explain that we didn’t mean anything insulting by my wife’s surprise. One of them grunted back. « no. Sorry » so we left. I found this incredibly rude and unprofessional. Judging by the other reviews here, I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. I think the other reviews about racist treatment might also be accurate because these women had no trouble rushing to help the white couple that came in after.
I would encourage everyone to find a location with a better attitude and ethic of service. It shouldn’t be hard to find...
Read moreI’ve recently tried this place twice. The first time, I was pressured and asked to tip although I was not pleased with the job done on my feet. I tried them again as I needed a pedicure and couldn’t make it all the way to Ridgewood in time to go to my preferred salon. I was not pleased once again. The gunk was dug out of the right big toe but not the left and the work was just sloppy and rushed. Didn’t focus on the dry heels and instead tickled the middle part of my foot more than anything. I didn’t even get color and I skipped the lotion and leg massage because I couldn’t have anything on my skin for a separate appointment I had afterwards and so I made it super easy on her to focus on simply giving me the basics done well and that did not happen. I won’t be coming back. It’s convenient and in an area that I frequent but my feet are important to me and now I have to go about town with feet that look like I...
