We have been taking my son here since his first haircut. Christina was always so respectful of us wanting to "trim" his long hair. She also handled his wild, long, curly hair with great expertise. And most importantly, over the years, she has been extremely patient with my son who did not love getting his knots brushed out, his hair pinned up or the blow dry. Recently, our son wanted to cut his hair short, which was a big deal for us. She gave him such an amazing short haircut, still showing off his fantastic curls and allowing us to really see his face. We're so grateful to Christina for her great work. And she and Allison create such a pleasant, friendly, kid-friendly environment. In Williamsburg, there should be more kid-friendly businesses like...

My son has been getting his hair cut at Rockin’ Locks for over 5 years now. Back when he was a toddler, I got to see the real magic of Christina and Allison in making little ones feel comfortable getting used to the new sights and sounds of a salon. My son is at the age where he can sit still just fine, but I have no doubt that some of that comfort and ease came from his earlier positive experiences. There’s a real sense of warmth and neighborliness when visiting that I don’t find in many other places. This review has been long overdue. We cannot say enough about ‘Rockin' Locks Salon for Kids’. We have been taking our son, Devin, to this establishment since his very first haircut. Christina, the hair magician, and her fabulous assistant Allison (and their friendly pup Ziggy) have always been amazing and welcoming. Kids can watch their favorite cartoon, sitting on different car rides options, while getting a haircut. The online booking system makes life much easier and appointments can be booked in advance. We always look forward to our appointments and great conversations. This salon comes with our highest recommendation!
