Rose Academy of Ballet — Local services in New York

This place is a hidden gem in Queens for quality adult drop-in ballet classes. Typically, you need to go to Manhattan for drop-in ballet, so it was nice to find this in the neighborhood just a short walk from Forest Hills station. It’s a small class in a small studio, and the barres are humble, but the instructor, Ms. Wakana, is phenomenal. It’s a beginner class, but she can teach it at a more basic or more advanced level, depending on who attends. The class is more affordable than similar level classes in big city studios, but you receive just as high-quality instruction and lots of floor time. The staff and teachers are exceptional. They spend the time to help all the students be their best. The location has only 2 dance rooms, would love if they expanded. However they are starting a new system - dance teams. Looking forward to more exciting advances and seeing the success of the business and the children.

My daughter has been attending Rose Academy Ballet for about 2 years. Cindy at the front desk is absolutely amazing, friendly, great with my daughter and extremely helpful. While my daughter has only taken class with 3 different instructors Ms. Elizabeth is an amazing teacher and is extremely patient with the kids.
