On 12/24/24 my husband drove over 2 hours, from Orange County to Salsa Caterer’s Manhattan location, to pick up a catering order. This was the 3rd time we ordered from them. The first time the food was amazing. The second time subpar but we decided to give them a chance and order again. What a big mistake!!!! Needless to say, there will NOT be a fourth time! We looked forward to enjoying this very typical PR meal for Christmas! However, the food was mostly inedible and we ended up dumping most of it. (Video sent to SC’s!) Not only was the food bad, but additionally, they did not fully provide what we ordered. 1. The mashed yuca, was NOT mashed—it was boiled AND left hard as a rock! 2. The guineos en escabeche were super hard and there were no gizzards—as requested! It also mostly tasted like vinegar. 3. The Mac and cheese was basically Kraft boxed Mac and cheese! 4. The pernil with chicharrón had absolutely No chicharrón and the taste was less than subpar. 5. Even the flan was bad! 6. The rice was hard and clearly undercooked! 7. The pasteles were hard, had an excess of black pepper, and the inside pork was hard and clearly undercooked, as well. 8. Finally, the tiny alcapurrias and pastelillos were super chewy. We wonder if they are under new ownership, or management, or have inexperienced staff working the kitchen—but the food is not what it used to be and highly unacceptable for sale to the public!! I can’t fathom how this food order passed quality inspection! Thankfully, the food was only for our immediate family and we were not expecting guests, as it would have been extremely embarrassing to serve. We paid over $430 and although I followed up with phone calls and emails. The manager, Wilson, simply left me two voicemails saying he was sorry but never providing a solution. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT order from them!! The food pics are dated 12/26 so you can see it was inedible on 12/24!

I ordered Catering To Go for my son's 1st Birthday dinner party. The food was hot on arrival. The portions were plentiful. I ordered: baked chicken , mac and cheese , and seasonal roasted veggies. Everything tasted amazing , and well seasoned. I highly reccommend Salsa Caterers. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I had an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and fast without being intrusive. The food exceeded my expectations: everything was served hot, beautifully presented, and full of fresh, balanced flavors. The drinks were also a highlight, with a diverse menu and well-crafted cocktails—especially the [the mojitos and margaritas]. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with great background music, cozy lighting, and decor that set the perfect mood for a night out, whether with friends or on a date. I’d definitely come back. Highly...

Salsa Caterers held a corporate event for us and all of the food was absolutely delicious. The food presentation was splendid and their personnel display a high level of courtesy and professionalism. I highly recommend. Some of my favorite items was their skirt steak, pernil, their lemon chicken, sliders and their signature...
