Read moreShockingly mediocre and awful. Ordered a prosciutto, brie, fig, red pepper and arugula sandwich. Couldn't taste the prosciutto and the brie was tasteless, just chewy. Opened up the sandwich to find one very thin, tiny slice of prosciutto that did not even come close to covering the baguette on which it was served. The predominant taste was red pepper and arugula. TOTAL RIPOFF!! Ordered the Sacher Torte, which was dry and overly sweet. The chocolate used on top was mushy and overloaded with sugar. Not even the most mediocre cafe in Vienna would dare serve such an awful Sacher Torte slice; a total insult to the Sacher name and tradition. Hot chocolate was supposedly made from melted chocolate, but was so sweet that the chocolate tasted like Hershey's syrup. It was raining and we were looking for a place to have a coffee. Read moreI usually only write good reviews. At first this place was great, great coffee, very friendly (notably friendly.) I went in for coffee just now. hot black and iced latte..the new girl gave me two hot coffees...I explained I ordered iced (very nicely) She said "no you ordered hot" and again said no I wanted iced. She rolled her eyes and said " Ok ill remake it but next time know what your are ordering" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I just got home with my two coffees to find they put milk in my hot black coffee. She mess up both and was rude for absolutely no reason. Also I bought a salmon sandwich a few days ago and it was rotten. When I returned it, they asked if I wanted another out of the display case..I said no thank you the others could be unfresh also...It seemed as though they were planning on continuing to sell them others to customers. I understand customers on the UES can be crabby and notoriously rude...and from a waitstaff standpoint, it can be frustrating. I am not one of those rude people, I am respectful and polite and absolutely did not deserve that...
