SN2 Nails and Eyelashes Salon — Local services in New York

ETA ( 2nd October 2023)- a month after my initial visit I came back here for a gel manicure. The tech was nice and did a great job. However the customer service here is declining so I had to adjust my rating. The card they gave me at the first visit with my color combinations and discounts got slight sanitizer damage in my bag, they were able to see what my next discount was and honored it. When I asked for a new card with my new color combination, one person said yes and another said no. What’s with the double standard? I literally wanted the card with the polish numbers I used today and cross out the discounts I have already used. I was hoping this place would be consistent, apparently like every other nail salon it’s only for first impressions.

Great service here, I had a gel Mani as well as a Gel pedicure. I walked in without an appointment right after opening and I was attended to quickly.

Eileen did my pedicure and Magaly did my manicure. I will definitely book with them again, I didn’t feel rushed and the atmosphere is very calming. They have an ATM on site which is very helpful.

My natural nail shape looks good, the polish is done evenly ( no flooded cuticles). Give them a try and see what they have to offer. They do eyelashes as well but I haven’t tried that...

The shop itself is very pretty and clean but the service is MID. I was getting gel removed from my toes and they used a powered that burned my toes and immediately made my toes swollen. We moved over to do my nails and they refused to clean under my nail bc they “didn’t have the tool” basically just didn’t feel like doing extra work. I got French on my nails and you can see all the streaks throughout the white…. On top of that after I paid $165 (which I thought that included tip) I was heading out the door and one of the ladies screamed at me in front of a packed shop and demanded a 15% tip for EACH person that worked on me(they don’t have any signs ANYWHERE saying that) I’m not a cheap girl and I would have tipped no problem BUT after this experience and embarrassment they TRIED to do to me I’d NEVER go back here or recommend anyone...

The 1 star is for the guy who works here. They have a weird tipping policy (cash only). If you don’t have cash, they want you to tip via Zelle/cashapp, if I’m paying with my card why am I unable to tip from there? Anyway, he is incredibly pushy/rude & wont let you leave the establishment until you can confirm a tip was sent. At my last visit he held my money & said I I should double my tip amount due to not tipping at my last visit ???? Yea, I’m not dealing with that type of foolishness, so as much as I adore my nail tech, I will not be back. They’re lucky if I don’t make a complaint to the taxation dept. I will praise my nail tech, her name is Jenny & she does incredible work. They last a long time as well. She nursed my nails back to good health, I’m going...
