Start Palace — Local services in New York

Would love to give this venue a 5 star but I can't. Not a bad space once decorated. However ventilation sucks.. a complete sweat box unless you're looking to host a winter event or a guest count of no more than 25 ppl. I was very disappointed with the space. Upon arrival of my event space was dirty, walls & floors dirty, garbage all over the place. I immediately called one of the owners who did come back to straighten up and clean the bathrooms. As well as the event planner who also came back to clean up since i was told it was their job to do so. Nevertheless my cake was melting due to the extreme heat. My guest spent half the night outside because sitting inside wasn't comfortable and too damn hot. Mind you i was told the space can hold at leadt 250-300 ppl. I find that hard to believe. Management didnt even offer to compensate any monetary amount just in good faith for the inconvenience I endured but was quick to say security deposit wasnt refundable due to placement of decor which caused minor paint peeling in the ceiling. Start Palace is the best venue to rent in Brooklyn . I Recently decorated for a Baby Shower there and the experience was Phenomenal from start to finish the owners were kind and very helpful .
