Complaint about this Cashier Nicole (from my Receipt dated 5/6/26 - invoice 00110602 - Since Cororate office DID NOT RSPOND TO MY EMAIL , I Deciced to post the letter (to corporate here to the rest of America to see)
My in-laws / I visited the store as I usually do to purchase my weekly groceries. At checkout, I had one reusable bag with me but no additional recycling bag. When I requested another bag, a woman named Nicole charged me 5 cents for it. I pointed out that individuals using EBT and SNAP benefits are exempt from this fee. Upon hearing this, I noticed her expression change, as if she was aware of the regulations but was acting as if she knew more about SNAP and EBT than I did. Fortunately, a short Latino man who worked in the store overheard our conversation and corrected her, stating that I was right.
It seems that her anger towards my 64-year-old in-law was far from resolved. She rang up my groceries without offering any assistance in bagging them. After completing the transaction, she stood with her arms crossed, awaiting the next customer. Furthermore, she carelessly dropped the receipt on my groceries and moved on to the next customer, disregarding my items. There was no expression of gratitude or acknowledgment. I would ask you to to review the camera footage, as it captures everything.
I am uncertain if she is new, but he mentioned that she has never interacted with this cashier before. It is essential for her to understand the importance of respect and adherence to protocols. If she is unfamiliar with the standard operating procedures (SOP), she should consult the manager rather than being confrontational and dismissive towards customers. Such behavior can significantly impact the reputation of a well-established brand like Key Food. I have been part of this establishment since 1977, and it takes years to cultivate a brand's name. A single misstep, such as the one made by Nicole, can tarnish Key Food's reputation. If this individual is unable to effectively engage with customers, she should not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePrices? Not so great! I find this place is at least 10%-30% higher than average on cost, don't believe me? Try ANY Western Beef once and be blown away by both selection and savings, especially in meats. Selections are poor but there always seem to be a over priced off brand nearby to save the day?!? Speaking of off brands...they sell their off brand stuff nearly as expensive as their brand name stuff, that's a joke, off brands have -0- marketing or advertising overhead, it my business, I would know. Staff feels indifferent to hostile at best, likely they are all far underpaid or a majority work there part-time to avoid paying for their health care, you guys can always speak up here if you are people wouldn't want to support something wrong. Walking in as a person of color new to place without showing a Rolex, it's a dark suspicious hostile vibe. They also aggressively follow you around, or try to send people to stock nearby you If your not familiar to them, I know it's New York, my skin color is dark ect, but hey, there are such thinks a surveillance cameras, I was treated more or less like a thief from the moment I walked in, a security card positioning himself near the door as I went to check out! lol Then Bam! I pulled out my Platinum card, thanks guys for the overpriced food and memorable...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never post reviews unless I have strong feelings about an establishment that future visitors should know. When this place was a C-town it had good deals. Last month I visited the new "Super fresh" for the first time, just curious how the market has changed. There was nothing super or fresh about the place. Since I didn't see anything I needed or wanted to buy, I started to exit the market. An older worker, whom I assumed was the owner or manager, stopped me at the door and asked "You didn't buy anything?" I said no. Then he accused me of STEALING š² "You didn't take any merchandise?" and looked at my bag. Just because I chose not to buy anything from your low-stocked, deal-less, and below average store, doesn't mean I am a thief. OMG!!! š± Everyone at the registers were looking, I have never been so embarrassed and traumatized (and angry obviously). I'm never patronizing this store ever again, and neither...
