When you walk into Tendenza you first notice an array of diamonds that sparkle like snowflakes in the winter sun. Then you meet Z and Oren, the owners, who are friendly and accommodating of whatever you're looking for. My favorite pieces are the rings that shimmer with pavé diamonds, and anything with rubies. If that's not your taste, though, there are also lovely gold necklaces with a variety of classic pendants, and unique "nuggets" that can be made with any kind of center stone you want. I recommend getting a couple of nuggets with spacers on a necklace, because you can't have just one. Most importantly, all of the jewelry here is fairly priced and classy; nothing here makes me think "tacky" or "my god that diamond is so big it needs a parade." Excellent is the best descriptor. I popped in to this shop nearly 2 years ago as I was strolling in the neighborhood and had such a wonderful service experience that I vowed to be a customer one day. Zi, the owner, was warm and friendly, clearly proud of her jewelry and not pushy in the slightest. She is a gracious merchant, which is clear from the number of repeat customers and sincere loyalty people have to her and her pieces. I finally walked in to make my first purchase last week and I could not be happier with the total experience. My experience was fantastic !!!! I met Tedenza in the Columbus Circle Christmas Fair ...I put a bracelet on layaway and though was not able to take it out on time .. She held on to it for me and I sooo appreciated it .. She is a vibrant talented artist who's pieces are timeless!!!
