First of all they are all super friendly and very service orientated. I went here with my friend to cut my hair and get it colored.
Her results were amazing, but I sadly can’t say the same about mine. I asked for an ashy tone and a colder tone for my hair which is originally warm light brown colored. I showed my hairdresser a picture of a girl with a bit dark but cold brown hair and told her I liked the cold tone in it, but I wanted it not as dark.
I ended up as a (very) dark brunette. When they asked how I felt about my hair I told them I thought it was too dark. They explained how my hair would get a bit lighter after some rounds of showering and that my color would match my roots. But I did not ask them to color my hair the same as my roots, I just wanted to keep my light brown hair, just in a colder tone.
I decided to let it be for a day so I’d figure if I felt the same about it after a while and I still did, so I sent some emails explaining how I felt about the result. They told me that the girls hair in the picture I used as an example was taken in a different light so it looked a lot lighter in the picture, and thats why my hair is quite darker than hers, even though I told them I wanted her cold tones, not her color, just a cold tone but as light brown as possible.
They also explained through an email that if I wanted ashy tones (as I asked for) I would have to bleach my hair and then color it with a gloss - but they didn’t ask me if I’d want to do that when I was there.
I felt like they were defending themselves all the time instead of listening to me and try to help me get the style that I wanted. They said that If I wanted to fix it then I could come back and bleach it and to the gloss as my friend did. She bleached it and did a grey gloss that took 7 hours because of her thick hair. She paid around 400 dollars. They told me if I wanted the same the price would be as hers, even though my hair is a lot thinner than hers, with a deduct of 95$ that I paid for my session.
To end my review I just feel a bit disappointed. I wish I’d was offered the possibility and especially information about how to get my hair in an ashy color and I hoped they would’ve put more effort in helping me out.
(( I do not want to attack or offend this saloon I just want to tell how I felt about my experience ))
They are all super friendly and the saloon itself is clean and welcoming. They ask you if you want any water or coffee every 30 minutes, they even put a slice on lemon on your glass! I would recommend this saloon even though it didn’t go so well for me, but be clear about how you want your hair to turn out and describe as...
Read moreLet's start with how sleek and professional everyone here is. I've gone to Christian now a couple of times. You need color he knows color. He understands what you're looking for is so professional so friendly and welcoming it really is now as a mom of an infant and toddler crucial that with the time I spend getting there coming from Long Island that my color meets my expectations and is beautiful. And that is what Christian is able to do for me each time. I want an ashy color that isn't the easiest to achieve and Christian nails it each time and is so beautiful get compliments everywhere but also I know I can fully trust Christian to get the color I want each time. Thank you Christian. Let's talk cut there's many hairstylists in nyc but few creative geniuses who make you feel better than the models walking around. That is Adriano. He knows cut he collaborates and tells you based on the consistency of your hair and face frame what works what doesn't. He listens and isn't scissor happy. He really is an artist. Doesn't hurt that he's so kind and you're fully at ease sitting in his chair. Thank you so much for a beautiful style especially to the mom who doesn't feel quite like herself yet! You made me feel like me and beyond! Love the drawing room!
Many hair salons and hair stylists always say “trust the process” but they honestly don’t know the process. So after I got pregnant I couldn’t commute from Long Island to the city and then with a newborn still didn’t. But here’s the thing after two salons in Long Island which were considered really good just damaged my hair I made sure I knew where to go to color correct it. Mirko & Adriano at the drawing room. The color genius and cut genius know this is a craft understand color dimension etc. my hair was so thin post partum and from all the previous mess ups. When i left I looked fresh & brand new with amazing color coupled with this amazing haircut. First they both thoroughly discussed what we were doing I love how Adriano wasn’t scissor happy. Literally I thought we had to cut so much off bc it was so damaged. But we didn’t and it looks amazing the cut. It really means a lot when they care as much as they do and are as professional and pleasant as they were. After a baby you don’t really feel like you but finally I feel amazing and it’s thanks to Mirko’s beautiful color and Adriano’s amazing cut. Truth...
Read moreThe owner of this salon has sent me threatening, menacing text messages. I have posted two reviews, one on Google and one elsewhere, letting the public know I was botched after spending $4488.04, which is hardly harassment. I never contested the fact that the salon fixed an abominable mistake. Certainly, I would have rather it had went right the first time instead of needing services to get it fixed. Clyde is saying I now owe the salon for doing so, even though the time to fix the services was “gifted” to me. (Something tells me that two bundles of extensions didn’t cost $1550 as Clyde claims.)
Now I am forced to share pictures of myself and associate with a traumatic experience because I left a review of the truth and now I’m getting bullied for doing so… does he plan to share an unflattering mugshot to hurt me somehow, despite being innocent of that crime? I still looked better in that shot then I did after getting botched. I have a picture of the messages he sent me late at night.
At my consultation, I showed Suzy numerous pictures. She admitted to seeing the pictures on the day she fixed her mistake and she also admitted she should have colored my hair first. The night she botched me, she highlighted me twice, very badly and blamed me when it came out badly, which made me upset. I was forced to miss out on my life and income exceeding what Clyde is trying to extort from me while I waited to get this fixed.
Clyde, the owner, made a dig how I got free extensions out of everything, which made me feel pressured into tipping Suzy at the end $550. I wish I did not.
It was clear the owner was very concerned with money because I never brought up the amount spent. He did it on the phone and at the salon. First, he said the salon spent thousands on the services, which doesn’t explain the $4488.08 plus tip. When I was getting things fixed, he made a dig about how I got more extensions. Again, I tipped for that reasons. I am relieved such a horrible mistake was salvaged, but I am saddened that I am getting berated for sharing what...
