The Great Gotham Challenge — Local services in New York

What an incredible experience. The Great Gotham Challenge shattered any expectations I had. For a fully remote event, I expected a bit of cheesy fun, but the production quality is unbelievable. I absolutely recommend everyone to try it.

For a more detailed overview: each trial was challenging but fair, the hints were excellent, and the way the clues interacted with the relatively ordinary items (a candle, soda can, deck of cards, etc.) absolutely blew everyone's minds. Not to mention, after beating the game, all of the items had a secondary use, e.g. the soda can was drinkable, the candle had quality wax and could be refilled, the deck of cards can be used throughout, etc. Our entire group was surprised at how creative the challenges and use of items were, the quality of the entire production, and none of us saw this to be this amazing, especially for a fully remote event!

I've done several of The Great GGotham Challenge flagship events and it is easily the moost fun thing I've found to do in NYC! If you love puzzle solving, compettition, and teamwork, then GGC is for you. It's kind of like the biggeest escape room on the planet. The Cluemasters do a faabulous job of inventing large scale challenging puzzles that sommehow manage to stay on theme. I walk away from every cchallenge with a renewed sense of curriosity about the Big Apple! Despite the size aand scope of the challenges, they're able to make a cohesive evennt for hundreds of people. I also highly recommend their private events for building teamworkk among friends or co-workers. They do a fantastic job of tailoring the events to your difficulty and making a theme around your team! The next time GGC comes to town,...

I've done two of their year-end remote challenges now and have to say these folks are the best in the game. In post-game discussions with my team, we marvel at how this was all put together. There's an evident love of puzzles throughout each detail of the whole experience layered under the impressive showmanship.

Production value is off the charts, with surprising, innovative puzzles that run the gamut of experience levels and solve methods. Decoding devices hidden in unlikely places, technological wizardry employed in interesting ways, and satisfying hands-on do-dads and gadgets that add up to the most engaging and rewarding brain-bending adventure.
