I don't give reviews often but Mangoh Studio is a hidden gem and has been by safe haven for the last 2.5yrs. It's like walking into a sanctuary. Newly renovated with calming tones surrounding you as you walk in. It has one studio which is one of the attractions of the place. You're not among a flurry of people. The classes are wonderful. I hadn't gone in a week because of work & life which is a bad excuse. .. And yoga is what I needed to release the stress and let everything go. I few eagle arms and surya Namskara's and wow I felt so much calmer when I walked out.
If you haven't tried Mangoh definitely take a class here Chintamnai, Josh, Sarah, Andrea L, Djuna, Danielle F,Lauren, Andreas, Julie, Sara are all teachers I've taken and you can't go wrong. And I'm sure the other teachers are amazing as well.
If you're looking for TT, their course was an amazing experience for me. Taking the course allowed me to deepen my own yoga journey and apply what I learned to living in this chaotic world we live in.
Erica Whalen the owner is an amazing person and hope when you take a class you get to meet...
Read moreI did the yoga teacher training here last year and it was fantastic. The teachers and curriculum were excellent, and the cohort was very small which is unusual for teacher training programs in nyc. Not only did I really learn how to teach yoga, but it encouraged me to make some personal changes that have greatly benefited my life, and I made some really great friends during the process. The training ends with a week long retreat in upstate nyc which was amazing. Erica, the director of the program is terrific. She is so supportive and a great yogi and teacher. My mentor Chintamani was also terrific. Even almost a year later she is still offering support and guidance. The other teachers were also top notch. If you are interested in doing a 200 hour teacher training or just deepening your practice and making some great friends and having a great time, come by the studio to get info about...
Read moreMang'Oh yoga studio quickly became my second home. The atmosphere is relaxing and warm. They recently newly decorated the studio so it almost feels like a little hidden heaven in the midst of chaotic Manhattan.
I love the fact that is on a great location in Midtown east but it's far away from all the traffic noise so you can really zone out and focus on your practice.
The variety of teachers is amazing and I think everyone can find someone who they can resonate with. Few of my favorite are Chintamani, Djuna, Sarah, Andrea L., Josh, Katherine and precious teacher Julie.
Also as a yogi that quickly gets hot and sweaty I find this studio to be much more airy and light unlike other studios.
With all that greatness, no wonder I chose this studio for my teacher...
