East River Esplanade — Attraction in New York

The esplanade is really a good place to walk, exercise, meditate, or walk your dog. It has plenty of benches and 2 small dog parks. The esplanade is always well maintained and connects with Pier 34, where you can take the different boats to Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Wall Street, or to a pier on the Hudson River. Nice area to walk / bike. I started at 54th street and trough 71th street. In between their is 1 access (I think at 60th?), at the Red Sculpture in Andrew Haswell Park. There is also a dog park (separate for big and small dogs). At 71 and up is construction work so the esplanade is not available (maybe further up it is???). Nice place to visit in this neighborhood, with outdoor workouts tools, even for kids. I like the area especially in the evening because of the lights at the pier next to the park and the view of Long Island City in the other side of the East river.
