This shelter needs to be investigated and shut down. I was at the shelter for a little over a week. The staff allows residence to bring in alcohol (Security) I have dates names and times and I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I’ve also witnessed many fights, people beat with canes to people with knives pulled on people, and some people making shanks out of a toothbrush, This place is like a zoo. It’s an institution of mostly Mentally ill people on top of Drug addicts. Someone who was not even assigned to my room, came in and was smoking crack in the shower🤦🏾‍♀️ I was also threatened by A staff member after asking for an extra blanket because this place is always cold on top of the fact that I am anemic They have no consideration for people that are disabled. The elevator is always broken. I was told by staff members and security on laundry day to scoot Down the stairs If I wanted to wash my clothes I also went almost 2 days without eating because I’m unable to Navigate the stairs no one came to bring me food Or even asked me if I was OK. I have witnessed staff members drinking on site Mostly security I don’t care how many issues you report to staff. They will do nothing about it. They treat people like nothing to work in that field that they work in. You have to have patience, empathy And compassion. I will praise the most high in the Mist of the storm because I know this is Temporary. I will always be my own advocate if no one advocates for me. This shelter feeds off violence and crime it’s Literally a Prison it’s not a safe place. If anyone experience some of the same issues I did if you cannot afford a lawyer I would advise you reach out to Legal aid As well as the homeless coalition and Dhs and the news if you have to. I’m currently fighting to stay away from that place I was transferred to another shelter recently and it’s so peaceful. I could actually read a book Collect my thoughts and have a little piece of mind While I navigate through my trials. I hope everyone stays blessed and if you ever become homeless, I would not recommend the Shelter I also noticed that they call the ambulance on people have them Admitted into the hospital when they are not getting certain favors Staff, and security. They also lie to cover each other I have watched innocent Mentally sane people get locked up or either sent to the hospital for speaking up for themselves. The most high sees all and the Wicked is and will be judged. I have evidence of everything I have spoke about in this post my videos are to large to post or else I would. The food is sometimes molded and spoiled.

Right off the back I give this place a one one star because I personally stayed here when I was homeless and I tell you the living conditions are disgusting and there’s a tremendous amount of health concerns that go unnoticed because it’s a mental health shelter for women there is always violence. There’s always somebody smoking doing something that they’re not supposed to do fighting with others stealing from one another Into one another’s room and checking each other‘s lockers if they’re not locked and then also they endanger other women as well by putting people that are known to be violent because of their severe mental health illnesses and it’s still going unnoticed honestly with all the money that New York State put into Unimportant things I think they should put more effort into these places to help us women get the help that we really really need aside from that the workers lie lie lie lie, and they lie because they feel as though it is important to them because it is just a paycheck for them to have at the end of the week And it is very upsetting because these workers try to gain your trust as much as possible for them to later on sit there laugh at you talk crap about you belittle you and talk amongst themselves about your personal issues. I also lost belongings big bag of belongings because I was told by workers to leave it in a certain area that it will later on be put away in the storage area. Come to find out when I got transferred, there is no such thing as a storage in that building was stolen or damaged but long story short I never received any help compensation whatsoever for this issue. I even put in a grievance form and nothing was done till this day. I’m still trying to get in touch with the Ombudsman office to get compensation back for the things that were destroyed of...

To all the ladies and gentleman's at this shelter. People can really make a change for once in there lives. If it's really that much bullying at this shelter, these people need to seek shelter elsewhere. I know there will be a change especially when the new director get there. I will say this to all this new director is powerful, highly intelligent and don't play and don't take no sides with staff or clients.Im very happy to know that the new director will get everything organized, but when I say that the new director ain't no joke, get your act together. If you are giving a place to stay for whatever period of time, listen to your case managers, the other directors who are there and to the social workers. Be thankful for having a place to stay, food to eat and able to have a bed to lay your head and able to take a shower, you don't even have to pay rent. You have the opportunitys for vouchers, food stamps, cash assistance , donations for clothes, medical insurance for mental health and dental and primary care doctors most important you're not laying in the streets or cold weather. There are employees who were in the shelters and now they work at the shelters, . When I first came to New York this year, I had an attitude, but I changed with the help of the new director coming your way, very powerful individual indeed. I feel right down sick, but I'm very proud of this new director that is going there because ifi can change then all of you can change. I want to say congratulations to the new director and to all the staff there and many blessings for the clients. God has moved this new director in a place that is needed for changes. New Director You are the wind beneath my wings

My rating for you is You're one in a million.

Love you always...
