It's always nice to have people that are passionate about what they do. I knew from the moment when I first walked in for initial diagnosis that this place would take good care of my device. They spent a solid amount of time analyzing my device before quoting the work that needs to get done -- it was nice to see they sincerely try to only work on what actually needs to get done, rather than places that make up bs diagnosis just to charge more.
We also geeked out on how my LG V60, even after four years since release, is still one of the best devices out there. No other device can match the quad DAC and headphone jack for audio performance (even better than many dedicated DACs), and the Dual Screen feature is way ahead of its time -- the technician even confided that the current iterations of foldables are very easily broken/do not stand up well to real-world usage, with the screens failing fairly quickly. The Dual Screen is more durable and reduces the risks of having have to spend hundreds on a new screen by being an attachment, giving you the option to have a foldable, big screen or just the very slim, svelte device on its own.
Add expandable storage up to 1TB and a 64mp main cam, even after I did all the research (even considering phones that are in the $1,500 range -- and no, no iphones as they are overpriced jokes way behind the times at this point), it made better sense to have my device refreshed with a fresh battery and a new USB port.
It only took them a couple of hours to get the work done, for a really reasonable price. Add the one-year warranty on the repairs and you really can't ask for more. DEFINITELY will return if needed and highly...
Read moreHad great experiences, until a tech broke my phone screen, then wouldn't repair his replacement after it began to develop a series of large black blobs on the lcd, his reasoning being "the issue is a phone issue, not a screen issue, because I already repaired your phone screen for this problem"
When I responded that my phone screen was replaced to him improperly installing it, and then destroying part of the lcd whilst taking it off to fix his mistake (that mistake being a failure to remove a plastic camera protector on the inside of the screen) he argued, pulled up a report on my last screen repair, and attempted to claim that his breaking my phone screen had nothing to do with my repair. Absolutely absurd, I'll update this review depending on what the companies customer service says. Regardless, don't visit here unless you want a dishonest and inexperienced tech.
Edit: after playing phone tag with company support for FOUR months, (yes you read that right, a third of a year, I finally was able to speak with a support person who told me that they would remedy the situation and make it right. I was told to go to a different location and receive a repair free of charge, and when I got to that location I was told that they would not give me a free repair, and I would have to pay $300. I am floored at this, and would never ever recommend this store to anyone. 340$ and 4 months down the drain. Please please do not make the same mistake I did...
Read moreUnfortunately I had to change my original review. I gave 5 stars being excited that the only issue with my phone (battery was rapidly loosing it's charge) is finally fixed. Then I got home and had a better look at my phone. It had a noticeable gap between the back panel and the phone's body, approximately 2mm. I had to go to the LI next morning, so I found another uBreakiFix in Bethpage, NY. They were great, said the gap is obviously not normal, and that there's a layer of smth that was supposed to be removed before the new battery installation. In 20 min I had my phone back. But then again, 3 days later my "new" battery was loosing charge from 100% at 11pm to 49% next morning with all the apps closed. Now it's been almost 3 weeks since the battery was replaced and I'm back to charging my phone 2-3 times a day with a low-moderate phone usage, every time the phone heats up, which is definitely not normal. Now I have to find time and preferably another location, since I don't really trust the place I went to originally. Hopefully it's going to be a...
