I called up to inquire why I was given meds, both 2 inhalers, which were expiring in 6 months. Instead, the pharmacy staff condescendingly explain that I was given enough time to finish my medication. I questioned the explanation because to finish 200 puffs in 16 days every 4 hours is crazy! It was prescribed as needed too. She could't answer then started talking about the pandemic. You think you can explain, twist things and talked like you are talking to a child, almost scoldingly. Then to casually say you can alwAys get another prescription. I paid for those 2 inhalers and I will pay again to get a new prescription. Your staff members were also agitated with my clarifications and then you make it appear that I'm the agitated one and say things like "we are busy, we have customers waiting" as rudely explained by Sonia, one of the staff, who tried her best changing the narrative like I don't deserve a proper resolution. Just because their explanation was faulty and I was able to ask intelligent clarifications. Alternative truth is difficult to pull off. Madeline hanged on me prior to that saying, "let me know what you want do, then hung up! If you are truly genuine in the resolution, you would have waited for me to answer your offer instead of hanging up. A simple apology or a simple offer of genuine help in a respectful tone would have been enough. You gaslight customers and then you twist and manipulate it like the customer is the agitated one. Wow! I can't imagine how you are in real life! You are a disappointment and an embarrassment to Walgreens and other pharmacy workers...
Read moreDiscriminatory policy as explained by cashier!!! I am not a USC, but been traveling every year in US for few weeks, on top of working for a US based Cruise Line. On many ocassions I have been asked to present my ID (policy that I support a lot), in other Walgreens stores, as well as many other (stores, bars, etc). Since I am not a USC, understandibly I will not have a US issued ID, but I have never had any issue why I presented a non US ID. Today, 02/16-2017, at around 10:15 am - 10:30 am, I wanted to purchase cigarettes from the store you have on College Point Blvd, and the cashier asked me for ID. When I presented my valid ID, the gentleman told me that he can't accept my ID, and that ONLY US ISSUED ID's ARE ACCEPTED AS AN WALGREENS STORE POLICY. If he said that he needs other type of ID (passport, drivers liscence) I could have provided him, but those are not US issued as well!
I find that to be quite discriminatory, and gives a message that Walgreens will only service USC customers.
I will most likely never enter a Walgreens store anymore, it's not like it's the only option outthere!
Thank tou for your buisness for the past 11-12 years, but I would rather spend my money in other buisnesses where I will not be discriminated because I am not a USC.
I am not illegally in the US, never had, nor have any thoughts of something like that, but I did felt today like I was an illegal visitor in your store for the first time in my life. I have traveled in over 60 countries so far, and never...
Read moreThis Walgreens used to be fantastic. But their customer service is definitely not on par anymore. I had asked one of their employees to help unlock their case so I can purchase one of their allergy medications, however, the line to pay took a while, and there were 2 lines instead of 1, and since I was short on time I decided to put back the items I was going to purchase. I didn't want to leave the allergy medication out in the open so I found the employee who helped me get the medication, and I gave it back to her instead and explained that I was short on time. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day, but she didn't bother answering and gave me this look like I was inconveniencing and bothering her. Even when she was coming over to initially unlock the case, she had a sour expression on her face.
Maybe she was having a bad day, or maybe it was a one-off thing, but I this interaction made me feel like I was bothering her. I could have just left the allergy medication on top of the case, but it seems like these employees dislike that.
This was my go to Walgreens, but I'll have to reconsider that decision. The previous employees, though, were always fantastic,...
