Mama Mia!!!! I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Mia and boy, that woman had magic healing hands. I came in with a specific set of problems from excessive workout and from the moment she did the warm-up massage, I could tell that I was going to have a good experience. She blew my expectations and I had one of the best massages in a while. This is note worthy especially coming from someone who gets massages once a month! Not only did she work on the sore spots that I could identify, she also worked on the supporting muscles for the sore spots, which felt really good. In terms of technique, there's nothing mind-blowing or anything new that I never experienced before but half way through the massage, I felt like she gave me a brand new back! Her finger placements were excellent: ok masseuses will get this right 90% of the time while great masseuses will get this right all the time (i.e. finger placements on the neck is a prime example, a fraction of an inch wrong, you'd come out with a stiff neck). Her power was excellent and I've got comments from masseuses of how much my body can tolerate pressure so if you want something strong and deep, Mia is for you. With any massage places, no matter how cheap or expensive, I based their services also of how clean their establishment is and this place is really clean and tidy (no funky smell). $70 for a 90 minute massage that ends with hot stone and food massage is a bargain in my opinion. Sure you will hear some honking from the road and the footsteps from next door room (rooms are divided by a thin wall) but if you can focus your attention to your session, it's all worth it. And if noise bothers you, try to come here on non rush hours. The reflexology area is rather tiny (4-5 chairs) so if you don't mind being close to your neighbors, then it's definitely worth...
Read moreI showed up here Friday and they only had an Asian man available to give a massage. Generally, I have a personal policy against having a man give me a massage (for the same reasons as George in Seinfeld) but I figured wth. When I walked out from this massage I thought I was intoxicated, it was that good. This guy must have some sort of ancient Chinese-healer skills because I've never experienced anything like this. I really should have taken an Uber straight home because I was wandering into traffic, confused as to my location; I felt as if I was in a dream. This was, without a doubt, the best massage I have ever had. It was intense at times, and it took about 24 hours for my body to snap out of this lethargic state that it was placed into, but I feel unbelievable now. Truly the best massage of my life. Ask for the deep tissue from the 5'5 Asian man in his 50s (UPDATE: He goes by Michael); the guy's a miracle worker. It should be stated that this has recently become my regular massage spot even before this last massage because the females do such a good job. And all for 50 dollars, cash only (and leave a good tip; don't be like George...
Read moreI hesitate to leave a bad review bc I don’t want to affect someone’s business but I also don’t want anyone to have the “massage” I did. (Hence 2 stars, I can’t leave 1 even though I should). Yesterday I booked a Swedish massage. I received nothing of the kind. Instead I received elbows digging into me, very quick pinching movements repeated over and over… this was not in the realm of a Swedish massage. I did not want deep tissue, I wanted long strokes, kneading etc. I wanted something soothing, not jarring. the woman would not let up even though I asked her to not use so much pressure. She just laughed and continued digging into me. Somtimes you think, oh maybe the pain will be worth it and I’ll feel better after so I suffered through. I left with my head pounding and my neck feeling broken. Realized I should never have to “suffer through” a massage I booked to relieve my tension, not create it. Today as I wake up, I cannot move my head without severe neck pain. I’m way worse than when I went in and so bummed. Please don’t sell a “Swedish “ massage if that’s not the style I’m about to get. Please train your therapists to...
