Military Park — Local services in Newark

NJT need to pay more attention to the NLR (Newark light rail) they need to invest much more in it. This station has only 1 ticket kiosk and is just barely accessible. There are remnants of old turnstiles that are no longer used, instead you have to stamp your ticket on a ticket validity machine. Also it smells like urine and the benches look really sketchy! This should not be happening! NJT has to renovate these underground stations. What more of a shame is the trains are usually clean and run at a a-ok frequency and all the above ground station look...

This is one of the worst stations on the Newark Light Rail. It’s big but the ceiling has cracks and paint chipping. The floor looks like it hasn’t been power washed in years. Get lunch or coffee accross the street and use the free public tables and chairs in the park on a nice day. I've seen unusual birds (and people) in this park. Public carousel a nice touch when it's open. New pru tower reflects the sky transparently on a grey day. Horse sculpture impressive. As is...
