IF i could give this location neg 1000 i would .🤬People color beware...I was racially profiled By a person of color! All skin folk ain't kin folk.I placed a in-store pick up order. I drove an hour ,to get there because I didn't realize Newnan was this far from me . Belk had a "doorbuster sale"..but when I tell you this location looked like a ghost town when I walked in .no one behind any of the counter,in the departments ,on the floor ,by the entrance ,the store is huge .I saw 2 cust in shoes ..no one helping them or any of the 5 maybe 8 customers scattered throughout the store in in various departments.I walked looking around for assistance,no one then I went to the luggage section to see if they had the item I placed for my order.I grabbed one just I case my order wasn't picked when I went to the pickup the counter. I Walk back looking arounf for assistance finally see 1 associate in the ladies clothing in the back corner emerging I ask her where is the in-store pick up and she points me I. The direction.I go back there and the guy is by the back entrance on the otherside of the store by the counter. There are multiple entrancees and I parked away from the closest to in-store pickup so I had to walk back across the store ..I have my papers tucked in the handle , on case anyone ask as i walk through the store .I get all the way to my car which isn't close to the door I hear someone yelling excuse me excuse ..excuse me ..loudly wayyyy across the parking lot . I didn't think they were talking to me ..but as I was placing my purchased luggage in the trunk she yell did you pay for that. I proceeded to wave my receipt and told her GTFOH B I didn't drive an hour to steal from U. IM a paying customer. This was a dangerous assumption she made because this isn't the social or economic climate to wrongfully accuse people of crimes .IT'S not safe to people of color..where was she when I was in the store - looking for assistance and direction.IF employees at this location treat your customers like thieves- then don't have in store pick up.and just close your location because you already look post apocalyptic anyway - even when your supposed to be open ; cause of the 5 or 8 customers who were there . Im sure those sales wasn't enough to even keep the lights on and actually only 3 had items .Needless to say ...I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS LOCATION AGAIN. F...
Read moreShop here often. Came today with my mother, grandmother, and sister. We spend a total of over $600. The woman at one of the cash registers, Lynda, was beyond rude. No customer service at all. She complained about us checking out in that section, although the store was packed and there were lines at every register. My grandmother pulled out her coupons she received in the mail and Lynda said that the coupons will not work on her items. My grandmother politely asked if she would scan the two of them just to make sure. After huffing about it, Lynda scanned the coupons and rudely told my grandmother that She told her they wouldn't work. My grandmother paid and then my mother checked out. The horrible customer service continued. Then it was my turn. I had a coupon Belk emailed me and held it up for her to scan. She raised her voice to me and told me I was wasting her time by scanning this coupon because it won't work. I told her that I was sorry she felt that I was wasting her time, but find it odd that I received an email with coupons telling me to come in and use them, but when I do they don't work. She then continued to rant to me about how people are stupid and don't understand that the coupons will not ever work and yet they make her scan them anyways just to be sure. I am not one to complain, and I myself work in customer service. I understand people have bad days, but that is no excuse to speak to someone, especially customers, in such a manner. It was very discerning and disappointing to be treated in such a rude manner after all we did was shop and purchase their merchandise. Will definitely reconsider shopping here from...
Read moreI've been to the Belk in Newnan three times since moving to the area six+ years ago. Every time I go, I swermar it will be the last, yet I keep giving them one more shot.
You walk in the store and can't find a cart. A quick snoop about will leave you to understand its because they are all being used near the fitting rooms for returns (yes, all three times I've been in). Today There were literally piles of clothes, on these carts, as high as my head! It is like shopping in a poorly managed garafe sale. When you finally find what you need, don't be surprised if you have to schlep everything all the way across the store yo find a fitting room. It appears that as only two fitting rooms are open since COVID, both must be on the same side of the store. That would make sense if all of the clothing were on the same side of the store. Why not open one on either side?
A good number of the clothes I see are in rough shape; holes, snags, and stains are commonplace. Again, it's like shopping a garage sale.
Oh did you want to know the prices of the items in the store? Employees won't help you, they just tell you to check the app. What they don't tell you is that when you d/load the app you end up with a bazillion alerts and emails from Belk.
Seriously it's a chaotic mess... And it's not just the Newnan store. I found the same in Texas, and I was talking to a friend about the experience; she said it's the same in Fayetteville. I think Belk, as a whole, must just really be poorly managed, but honestly I'd rather shop in a garage sale; at least the prices...
