On my birthday, I looked up companies that give you something (a free thing or a discount). Nothing Bundt Cakes came up and I hadnāt heard of them before but it sounded cool and I thought okay, I will sign up for this club and go over there later. It is a 30 min drive from my house. By joining the club it says you are entitled to a mini Bundt cake on your birthday.
So I head that way, grabbing my Starbucks on the way and enter the store to be greeted by a woman. I tell her I am there for my birthday (I am even wearing a bday hat) and she says, do you have the email? I didnāt know what she was referring to, I said well, I have my membership info and my drivers license, and she said if you donāt have the email, I canāt give you anything. I said well I just joined this morning, so I have the confirmation of joining email. She just stared at me cold faced and said well I canāt give you anything if you donāt have the email. So I said, so I have to wait a year from today to get the mini cake? And she said yes, I guess so. One more time I said, I just drove out here 30 min to get the promised birthday cake and you are saying no? She just stared at me and said, yes.
No Happy Birthday, no explanation, not even a let me see what I can do . Nothing. She was stone faced and unconcerned.
Here is the thing. This was my first time in this establishment. Your advertising worked, it brought me in and I loved what I saw. I was already thinking about using you for two friends birthdays in the next coming weeks. But this interaction, this lie about getting something on your birthday when I stood there, registered for your club ON my birthday and being told no coldly⦠I will never return. Ever.
In this day and age, storefront businesses need to have customer service⦠or they will go the way of the dinosaurs that came before them. What she should have done is verify I was part of the club and verify it was indeed my bday and give me the cake however that needed to happen. Instead, a bad experience was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered and paid four days in advance of pick up day. My husband was turning 70 and I was taking the cake to the restaurant. My first time here as we just moved to the state. I ordered a number 7 and a heart to be the zero on his cake. It cost 5.00 per candle because they sparkle. I donāt usually buy a cake but 70 is a big year. I arrived at 11:10, my pick up time. It looked lovely all wrapped up. I thanked the two people working, explaining it was my first time at the bakery. I get home and Iām trying to look through the packaging to find the candles. I need to meet family at noon in PTC, Iām hurrying. I called and the person said Iām sorry I didnāt check your order so I didnāt know you purchased candles. It was to be the āicing on the 70 cakeā. I had no time to stop and told her how disappointed I was. She said I will refund candle cost and take xtra off your cake and was nice and apologized. I didnāt care about refund just had wished for that price, two people working you would check the order. Well I did get the candle refund but never that discount off the cake for my inconvenience. Donāt say it if youāre not following through. Itās tacky in all states. Cake was excellent, red velvet, but no candles. To bad cause cake was delicious but not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOmg!! Disappointed for the second time within two weeks of knowing this location was closer to me then traveling to the Roswell location. Roswell is my go to location for several years and without a worry will produce a dead on, consistent, perfect 100 product each time; not always the best customer service with interpersonal skills but without hesitation will deliver excellence. I spoke with a manager at this location about my first visit and gave feedback on several wrong issues. You have to get it right for customers like me who know this product! I'm so tempted to bring this back to you and ask for a refund. While I am deciding on that matter. I know for sure, I will not be back and will stay loyal to the "Rowell" location. You can slide by with customers who don't know yet, but you can't with seasoned customers. We know that product well inside and out of the bundt cake hole. So disappointed again & drained to go over what you did wrong. Not one, but three wrong issues!!! I will just toss them in the trash and still wish...
