While I can't attest to the in-store shopping experience, I can voice my frustration, disappointment and a feeling of manipulative marketing strategy to increase attendance at an event they posted on EventBrite. Searching for free events, I came across this seemingly amazing event and was eager to invite my girlfriends. Little did I know that I failed to click on a very tiny link that clarified that it was a ticketed event at $100 versus the $0 posted on EventBrite. I called the store requesting further information and they promised a call back. I was never called back and instead I was sent a mass email stating that the event was $100 and to follow a link to register. While I admit that the fine print that was hidden from view was MY FAULT for not reading...The necessity for the Eventbrite cost to be labeled as $0 when they follow up with links for $100...That is in my opinion, the definition of click bait where the marketing is targeted to make you think one thing and you receive something entirely different. My experience with this company is very limited but someone needs to learn how to type $100 in the Eventbrite description instead of a very deceiving $0 simply to gain more views/attendance. Sorely disappointed and a bit embarrassed having to inform my friends that the event would cost them a pricey ticket. Shame on the marketing management...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came here for our Valentine’s Day date and were able to schedule an appointment day-of.
Their store is very spatious and well kept, I really appreciated all the girls who were working here and went above and beyond to make sure all customers were attended to.
When you arrive, you check in at the front where you are then seated at one of the tables. They have hangers for you to put your jackets on so that they don’t clog up the chairs in the middle. Your attendant will then explain your candle options then send you to the attendant at the Fragrance Bar.
At the Fragrance Bar, they have all smells categorized by seasonal, Clean/Woody/Sweet/Floral. Once you have chosen your container and favorite fragrances, you return to your seat where you then are able to create your fragrance mix.
The attendants fill your container with soy wax and then return it to you to fill with your chosen fragrance. During this time, you also choose your “toppings” for your candle which vary from different stones, dried flowers and glitter. It takes about an hour for the wax to settle, so we browsed around the mall / grabbed lunch then were able to return and pick up the candles we made. When you pick up, you are able to add your chosen toppings and go home.
We had an amazing time and def recommend the travel...
Read moreMy candles were beautiful. However, the customer service was horrendous. After seeing so many videos on YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook of this candle bar “experience” my bestfriend and I will never come back. I value customer experience more than anything and they lacked so much. Sarah, the manager—was incredibly rude and prejudice. My friend and I are a poc. And we watched as Sarah blatantly treated us differently than the others that were there who were not a poc. To Sarah and the owner, I am so disappointed and dissatisfied with the way you construct your business. Our candle didn’t even set all the way before they told us we were all finished. This was a terrible experience. We didn’t feel welcomed or thanked. We felt rushed and unwelcomed. I also asked Sarah for another sheet of paper since I had made a few errors I on mines and she didn’t want to give it to me. The experience was terrible. I had high hopes. But unfortunately there seems to be no place for a poc at this Blank Mason Candle Bar. There’s a candle bar in Chicago named Black Luxe Candle Co. and they’re black owned and have great service. I went there a few months back. I Should have just went back there. Or even Auroa Candle. Awesome people. Blank Mason? Not so much.. I will gladly...
