Decided on a random, clear skies, Friday Morning that my jeans needed replacing. Thought of checking out what the Old Orchard Mall had for me at a reasonable Price. Checked a few stores, Zara, Macys, and Gap but the employees were incredibly uninterested and looked like they want to be there. Ended up checking out this store Iāve never been to before called āExpressā, was greeted by a charming āWelcome inā by a young man named Umer, he asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. He then directed me to menās section where he and this other young fellow named Jalal thourally helped me out and gave their two cents on the jeans they had in Stock. Jalal even offered to check the back rooms for the rather large size that I am. Whilst he was gone, Umer was doing an amazing job informing me about the Insider Program and how I could get 20% off of my purchase. Long story short. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was recently wondering why all the express stores in my area are closing. When I walked into this location, it became clear. Not one staff member greeted me or asked if I needed help. Most staff I only passed once while in the store, but one employee in particular passed by me several times without saying a word and without regard for keeping six feet of space between us. The dressing room was a mess. Not in terms of cleanliness, but in terms of being organized. There was no one attending the rooms and then of course the inattentive employee appears out of nowhere and walks right past me again without asking if I need a room. They were also letting people enter the dressing room from both sides and letting people stand in groups inside of the very narrow dressing room area, preventing others from leaving the dressing room in the correct direction. I spent about 30 minutes trying on an array of items looking for a specific look. Jalul was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he has great energy and made the whole process enjoyable.
Heās the perfect example of the ideal employee you want leading your store and attending to customers. I got what I was looking for and it was fun with his help.
To whomever manages these reviews, the GM of this location, franchise owner or corporate: I hope you acknowledge Jalul, his customer service, and his commitment to doing his job the right way. The man deserves a raise cause you donāt wanna lose a guy like that.
