the free compost program is one of the best city programs in recent memory!

i’ve used this compost for parkways, landscape beds, houseplants, raised beds/container gardens, in ground edible gardens, it works wonders for creating usable soil and a healthy microbiome! combine with native plants for best results (:

the stuff they pile up outside would be thousands of dollars bought in bags at a store. bring a container and go wild.

my container recommendation is to mix in a bunch of perlite for better drainage, but with just compost and perlite your plants...
