I was visiting the state and since I was intown I decided to go to the Eastwood mall, Niles OH, which I haven't been to a mall in 4+years. I purchased a pair of men's joggers size XL as a gift but they were to big, so I went back to the store the very next day and asked if I can exchange them for a (L) smaller size, I was directed by the sales person on the floor to the register to speak with the manager, upon approaching the register I was asked if the tags were still on, I stated that tag fell off but stickers were in place, and tag was in bag with the joggers, she proceeded to say, as RUDE and CONDESENDING as she can be, that due to store policy she would not honor the exchange for a smaller size because tag was not on, so I stated that I was just there the joggers were not worn, tags was not torn or damaged and in the bag. So I stated that I will come back another day," thinking maybe she was just having a bad day" she again proceeded to state that will still be there and she will still not honor the exchange!!!! Now I can understand policies, but its not what you say its more how you say it!!!!! She was very unprofessional for being considered a manager. What's even more upsetting is that she was the one who rang up our purchase when I bought the joggers!!!! I wasn't asking for my money back, just simply to do an even exchange. I have no interest, nor will I purchase an item from this establishment again!!!!!!!!...
Read moreWent to the AE store in Eastwood Mall on 12/10/2024. Purchased the AE Cropped Sherpa Quarter-Zip Sweatshirt. On sale in store for $59.95, but on their website it's listed for $41.96. They said they'd price match. Wife paid cash and never checked. Went home to find out they did not price match upon looking at the receipt; also found a defect in the wrist elastic on right sleeve. Took it to AE in Southern Park Mall in Boardman OH on 12/12 for an exchange and price match, and was told by Sales Associate since the little tag had been removed (we had both receipt and tag, but daughter removed tag at home when she put it on 12/10) they could not do a return, only an even exchange. I questioned it since the product was defective and they wouldn't restock it for sale anyways, and the fact that replacing the plastic tag was just using the little tag gun to put it back on since the bar code tag was intact. I had to pull out my Karen card and asked to speak to a Manager. Manager said they would exchange it and price match. Sales Associate processed the transaction, gave me the new receipt, and sales tax cash. I asked about the price match. She could not do it since she had ordered the new sweatshirt online. Now if I still want to pursue price matching I will have to come back to AE when I receive the new one and do it all over again. Merry...

I took it back to the Niles store where I live and the manager said it looked washed and worn and tags were cut off. I had the tags but for 14.99 they lost a customer. Niles Ohio had the worst manager and that's to bad. It was a good experience in Columbus and went to horrible experience in Niles. I had to drive 30 miles their and back home for her rudeness.
