My stylist Aspen is quite personable and very good at helping me decide what’s best for my hair type. The demands stylists like Aspen are under to create the perfect look are daunting. I appreciate the time she takes to listen to what I am trying to achieve and helps me I understand what the best way is to get there. I am a ride or die Aveda salon patron, however I do not live in an area anymore that has an Aveda salon. Mirage is an hour and half drive for me and does offer some Aveda products for which I am grateful. I have been here twice and love the time and care I receive! My hair is very naturally curly and is difficult to deal with at times, so putting trust in someone to manage that for me is a big deal to me. I highly suggest trying Aspen or another stylist here. I went to Mirage based on reviews I had read, I left after my appointment almost in tears, I explained exactly what I wanted and brought pictures but by the time I left she had cut my hair so short I can’t even style it ( I had shoulder length hair) the first cut she took started above the ear and when I asked why she just kept cutting and before she was done my hair went from being shoulder length to the less than 2” long. After the first cut there’s nothing you can do to correct the mistake, in the end she told me my hair was too thin for the style I wanted. I had a full head of thick hair and she absolutely destroyed it now I have to wear turbans daily. I will never go back...
