Selling expired products. Hassle returning said expired products. Very first time shopping here. Bad experience. Firstly I like these Starbucks Frappuccino drinks, they had them on the shelf marked for $3. So I grabbed two because that's a better deal than everywhere else. Go to checkout and the price said $3.50 on the screen. So I disputed it with one of the cashiers and she was able to fix it to the advertised price. Then after leaving i thought it tasted funny. Today is 3/24, one of then were expired 3/18 and the other expired 3/4. That's almost 3 weeks expired for a DAIRY product!! I went back to get my $6 back and their computer claimed "this item is non-refundable". I'm like "OK Well it NEEDS to be refundable because yall are selling EXPIRED PRODUCTS! Yall need to pull that off the shelf." I told them the ethical thing to do would be to write a sign or something to prevent others from mistakenly buying expired drinks like I did. Since yall are gonna stand around and say the vendor has to pull it off the shelf for you. One of the skinny brunette little girls working started getting rude with me saying "first of all we didn't know they were expired." No apology or anything. Had to tell her I'm not arguing with you because their staff was only making matters worse. and I'm still waiting for my $6 to hit my account if that refund even went through. Terrible experience that won't have me...
Read moreI love this little variety store for many reasons but I have a few small issues.
The store is always clean, things are in the right place and arranged well. I know I can come here and get a handful of things that are always in stock. More often than not there are some basics that are less than the $1.25 tree (for the same item). This is the cheapest place with best selection to get stocking stuffers or Easter basket candy. The employees are always nice and usually busy at keeping the store well-maintained rather than standing around talking. I have gotten some amazing deals in here and I love it when they do BOGO.
Because they sell candles, strong fragrance hits you immediately upon walking in the door. I am a migraine sufferer so that smell almost always triggers a headache. I know they can’t help it and there’s no solution, but sometimes knowing that sways my decision whether to go or skip it. My only other issue is that when they have sales, sometimes the sale signs can be vague. For example, one time they had plant pots on sale. Only one shelf was part of the sale but the sign did not state this. I noticed at Christmas time, the signs were more clear but I was still guessing about...
Read moreLove, love this delightful store located in the Target/Ross shopping center on Rivers. Ave. (next to Advance Auto Parts). It apparently has been there since Dec. 22, but I just recently discovered this little gem of a store few months back. The store smells great and well-organized, neat, and clean. It's a more upscale version of Dollar General (the parent company) . Many items are $1 to $5, and more upscale quality items will be more. They cover everything needed from toiletries, pet supplies, kitchen, crafts, snacks and drinks , household decor, children's toys, small electronics....a great assortment of color pens for general use and art. I can pick up acrylic paints for art $1 a bottle, the pouring paints are $3. Dog/cat beds have become quite pricey, but theirs average from $5 to $12 depending on size. This is my new favorite store and I can conveniently walk over to Ross, my other...
