For the North Charleston Location:
Rarely do I feel compelled to share opinions or write reviews, but the experience I just had—combined with others earlier this year—warranted some feedback. The Positives:
First, the pizza is fantastic. Honestly, I’d come here just for the pizza; the flavor is genuinely great. While it’s on the pricier side, I understand you’re not just paying for the food—you’re paying for the overall experience.
Second, there’s a standout manager who’s consistently working when I visit. She’s amazing—always on top of things, professional, and capable of handling any situation with ease. Her presence is a real asset to this location. The Frustrations:
Unfortunately, the kitchen’s performance leaves a lot to be desired. The organizational issues border on chaos. Orders come out in no discernible order, making it feel like tickets are being skipped, lost, or shuffled.
Here’s what happened today: I ordered at 1:34 PM—a large pizza, sampler platter, and an extra order of wings. The pizza arrived before 2:00 PM, but I was told to hold onto my buzzer because the rest of the order would be out in a “few minutes.”
By 2:30 PM—after nearly an hour—I went to the window to check. I was told it would be ready in five minutes. At 3:00 PM, I went back, only to be told by a new shift worker that it seemed like the previous staff “didn’t know what they were doing” and that it would take another 20 minutes.
Finally, at 3:30 PM—two hours after placing the order—I received the rest of the food.
Now, I’ll admit to my mistake here: when I ordered the wings, I thought I specified buffalo, but it turns out the ticket said plain. I asked if they could toss them in buffalo sauce since it’s a simple fix that doesn’t cost extra. Given the absurd wait time, I was hoping for a little flexibility. Instead, I was told they couldn’t do anything about it because the ticket said plain. After waiting 90 minutes for my food, this lack of effort to accommodate was disappointing. General Concerns:
While the manager is incredible and clearly shines in her role, she stands out because many of the other staff seem ill-equipped to handle anything outside standard procedures. Even minor deviations seem to throw them off course, making transactions unnecessarily complicated.
I genuinely believe this location could benefit from some structured training—perhaps closing for one day a month to train and refresh the staff on processes and customer service. Conclusion:
Take this review for what it’s worth. My kids love coming here, so we’ll continue to visit despite these frustrations. I only hope these comments lead to some positive changes—especially in the kitchen, where improvements are...

Only one guy was at the register with a line full of people almost reaching the door. The guy working the register was super patient and kind. I think his name was Austin.
Pizza was good, but the wings were a little soggy. They needed to be cooked a little longer. We also got the chocolate chip cookie, but it tasted funny (will not order again..it does not taste anything like Pizza Hut's)
Certain drinks on the soda machine were not working properly.
Tables were dirty. Trash cans were full. I think Chuckie Cheese should create something that allows visitors to know when a table is being used or not. Sometimes it is hard to tell when you see empty cups, and dirty plates/napkins, but no bodies.
Food and Tokens are expensive! My advice..go online and get a coupon..you can save like 10 bucks!!! For instance, their Value 1 says '30 tokens, medium pizza and 2 drinks for $31.99 but we got a coupon for the same thing (our coupon said 35 tokens) for $21.99
Chuckie Cheese should also clearly explain to its customers that tokens are now called 'points'. They will give u a card that has tokens/points on it. You can add more 'tokens' on it by using their machines, but I had to get back in the long line to get more tokens on my card because we had a coupon, and the machine doesn't offer that option.
I also think you should be able to put your tickets on the same card they give you instead using a separate machine.
I like the card idea, but a few of the kids lost their cards. I would have one main card that has a lot of tokens on that an adult keeps, and give the kids a smaller amount on their cards like 10 or 15 (the kids are having fun and running around, so it's usually too late to find their card if they dropped it or left it...
Read moreOur table was not set up for our party when we arrived, didn't have plates or utensils, 1 of the 3 pizza arrived 40 min into the alloted party time the other 2 didn't come to the table till 10 minutes before the happy birthday show. We also had 5 or 6 people sitting at our party table that didn't move even when asked to, and very rude people from the table next to us as they had too many people at their party and apparently not enough seats for them hanging around our party table the whole time. We were unable to even open gifts as our time was up I guess immediately following the cake cutting and we were abruptly asked to leave the table. We left the table and went to a booth to finish our party as the birthday child was crying at this point no gifts had even been opened.. and everyone was pretty upset. Not to mention our host comming to the booth we sat at 3 times in 10 minutes for me to close out my bill. (Why so persistent now?Where where you during our party time??? Seen you 2x!!!) Then stood in line for almost 30 minutes to pay only to be ignored by the cashier that walked away to take a private call at that moment causing me to get even more upset and loudly demanding someone to close out my bill! Overall this experience is one for the books and wont be repeated this place needs some serious help, from the disorganized events, overbooked parties and confused/untrained staff. This location is a mess! Get a skilled manager in there to get it right! You charge a lot for the party reservations, your not holding up your end and this location is not living up to the chuck e cheese reputation...
