Five Guys — Restaurant in North Charleston

I went to the Five Guys on Rivers ave in front of the Target today and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant by far. I first stood in line for nearly 20 minutes despite there only being about 4 to 5 people in front of us. Then after I ordered my food with sweet tea I went over to find out there was no sweet tea. I brought it to their attention and I was flat out told “well your going to have to get something else, it’s going to be a long wait for someone to make tea as you can see we are busy”. Wow. Then it takes me 25 minutes to get my food. I simply ordered 3 cheese burgers and 1 French fry. About 20 minutes of waiting after I ordered I expressed my unhappiness and the little manager said absolutely nothing but your next and rolled her eyes at me like I was unconvincing her. I will never go there again as this was a joke of how a professional business should have handled this. And yes I did snatch the bag out of the girls hand after all of this and then she yelled at me “don’t snatch something out of her hand”. Terrible terrible service all while the manger was right there and did or said...

In a world where burgers are everywhere, when burgers are your selling point I expect them to shine. I have ordered delivery from here twice, and have found the burgers a disappointment both times. Absolutely lacking in flavor, not a smidge of seasoning, sprinkle of salt, or hint of pepper to be found. Bland beef patties with no char, no taste, no texture, no soul. I got a bacon cheeseburger and all that stood out was the bacon.

The fries are fine, with Cajun seasoning giving them some spirit. They definitely cook them tender, not crispy, so if you want crisp fries this is not the place for you. They also go cold and limp quickly, so you want to eat them first.

The milkshake is fine but again, not great. With burgers, fries, and shakes being their claim to fame, I found their offerings underwhelming and overpriced for what you get. Just a big meh. With other specialty burger joints nearby at a similar price point, I will be spending my burger...

I received my order to go. Five guys on rivers avenue. The guy bagging the food which was person with long hair, dread like hair was very rude and made the whole experience from good to a bad. Bagged the food then he handed it to me. I had to ask him to seal it very politely. I even thanked him for doing so but I received no response from him at all an also saw him get irritated that I had asked him to do that for me. I told him thank you and to have a good day when as I was leaving and he just ignored me with no response even though he looked me right in the face. I told him that it was very bad customer service by not speaking back an he continued to stare at me blankly and walked off. The food was good though I would say but good customer service is very important and ruined the experience...
