Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church — Local services in North Charleston

I'm not even going to lie, my wife and I originally only stopped by there to meet a friend for a Pokemon Go raid, but while waiting for our event to finish, we were greeted by several very kind people and started to contemplate going to the Sunday morning service.... Right as our event finished and we were getting ready to leave, one of the older gentleman that worked there asked us what we were doing, I told him we just finished a Pokemon thing and he told us to "go play somewhere else" so I responded by telling him that's fine, we just finished and we're leaving now. Literally started walking my friend to his car RIGHT after that. Not 30 seconds go by and the same "gentleman" decided to start screaming at us telling us to get off his property and yelled some other unintelligible words. At this point I got mad because he started yelling, and I told him that were leaving and just saying bye to our friend. And then he yelled some more unintelligible words, the only thing I understood from that was him DEMANDING that I get in my friends car and leave right now. I informed him AGAIN that I was saying bye to our friend and that he didn't have to tell at us because we were leaving. This guy CONTINUED to yell and threaten us the ENTIRE time we walked to our car. Keep in mind, that we didn't ignore him, we weren't staying, we were in the process of leaving. I got an attitude back with him and told him that he didn't need to tell in the first place nor continue to yell at us while doing what he was yelling at us to do... Needless to say that feeling of being welcome was LONG gone. I don't blame the church or the community for his actions, I TOTALLY understand that we needed to leave and we were doing so. This is my place of Worship!! If you need a ace to go to that will change your life this is the place to be. Awesome Place for all ages!!! Young congregation along with your elders for wisdom, guidance and love. Through it all NOBODY or NO-One can take me from my GOD or my Church Family... I attended a funeral service at Mt. Moriah last weekend, and I was truly moved by the experience. The church itself is absolutely beautiful, creating a peaceful and comforting atmosphere. The service was heartfelt and uplifting, honoring a wonderful life with grace and love.
