Read moreThis is my first time writing a review online , I have to let people know about this place and how they treat their one time customers they think we stupid they think we will never come back . on sep 10 , me and my wife also my family went all the way from Florida driving 10 hours to this place because of the hurricane , I call ahead book the room on the phone , when we get there everything is fine , we check in and the lady on the counter said that everything is good to go, the room is not clean as other hotel and has some smell , staff there is never smile , but that is all ok , we not complain . But after we come back , on my credit card bill it show they charge me more that 150 on fee because I call ahead on the phone . I call back next days about it but people answering the phone just said that they just work there told me to call back when manager is here , I call back again and again, never find the right people to talk with , finally after 2 week of trying I talk to a guy he said he can take care the problem, I explain to him what happen , but he said that happen too long ago, and he is not there , he said the fee is for not check in fee , but I told him we all did , nobody told us that when we was there , it made me so mad because because they pass me around for two weeks in the end they still want me the pay for the fee that I am not supposed to pay . this is not about money now , it is about race, they think we not knowing English well , most of my family do not speak English, but we don’t like to be treated like that . Read moreHad an emergency that displaced me for the night ended up at this hotel last minute because the hotel I had originally booked was flooded with police and ambulance due to it being a murder and they were not checking in due guest due to chaos and for obvious reasons I was no longer interested in staying there. However, the forensics team had blocked my car in forcing me to walk to this lovely destination. The gentleman checking me in took my payment for the room and upon finding out I was alone offered to keep me company for the night which I found very unpleasant and unprofessional! I declined his request he informed me then I would need an additional 100.00 cash only deposit since I had a local address and all local sc residents were required this! I found it to be a very discriminating policy and practice however I was desperate for shelter and said ok put it o my card! He said he couldn’t it had to be cash. I explain to him this was my debit card, not a credit card so essentially it was C cash. He said no it had to be in the form of cash only then I asked him to see this policy in writing. Which he refused and I then got very upset that he did not explain this to me before running my card he said he did and I said no you did not explain that it would have to be cash money. It’s 1 o’clock in the morning and I do not carry large sums of cash around. Had I known that I would not allow you to charge my card needless to say I was not able to stay there and he said he would refund my card here. It is almost a week later.
