I work for Boeing and have for 11 years now, and my company has been at the forefront of modern aviation innovation ever since the beginning of flight over 100 years ago! While I am sorry that those people who used to live in the old trail wood community have been displaced, lets face the facts; the city of North Charleston are the ones that makes the decisions as to where a business can plant its roots down or not. They decided that it was more better for the overall North Charleston community to be able to see growth and future investments, than to continue to have that old and dilapidated mobile home community that was crime infested to remain there, as an eye sore to the overall planning of the city as a whole. You cannot tell me that you were not compensated in exchange for the move. And for the person who commented about helping with the moving expenses, like I said, were you not compensated for the move so that you can do what you needed to do? My company took the great pleasure to invest in the city of North Charleston and the surrounding communities in the Low country, and have created thousands of jobs in support of the 787 manufacturing site, logistics support facilities, and other aviation based programs, to include the Aviation School at Trident Tech which has brought in billions of dollars to the city of North Charleston, etc. They help those who want to better themselves get higher education to include Engineering degrees, etc. Plus they are actively involved in many community activities bringing growth to our city, and better wages and standard of living than the usual southern low wage jobs that are prevalent everywhere else. So for those detractors complaining about nothing important, consider this. Would you have rather stayed in a dilapidated state of existence, or would you rather have progressed in your lifestyles and standards of living, having better opportunities for your children and family, and a more modern and representative city of citizens who are proud to say that our state and our city is known around the world for building the most requested and advanced large medium sized aircraft...
Read moreI believe Boeing stock is going to skyrocket. I worked in Final assembly building for 4 years, starting in 2012, then was moved to the mid-body assembly building in 2017. Wasn't real happy with my assignments there, several, I could not get established on any one team before they moved me to a different cell. The wife had medical issues with bug bites, so I quit in 2017. I am now back with Boeing in 2025. They treated me well before and I am certain they will treat me well again. I would advise anybody that has mechanical or electrical abilities to apply to this company and help us produce the best commercial or military jets in the world. They do space also, so join us, help us, improve us. Make this the best Aerospace company in the world. Just an...
