Mario’s Peruvian Chicken Tanger outlets — Restaurant in North Charleston

I ordered a half chicken with rice and plantains to eat inside the restaurant. After waiting 32 minutes in a small restaurant where I was basically the only customer, the girl who took my order comes up to me and tells me they don’t have anymore rice… Are you kidding me? They had me wait there for 32 minutes to finally tell me they were out of rice?!? At this point i’m starving so I ask for my refund to go across the street to Chipotle and she proceeds to take 10 more minutes on the phone with the manager to do my refund. I am extremely disappointed with this place after how excited I was to eat there. For a tiny restaurant with barely any clientele how do you run out of rice and have such a lack of common sense? Crazy. I recommend staying away...

I have been a long-time fan of Mario's in MtP and am sooooo glad to finally have a location closer to my home in Summerville! I used to work in MtP, and this was my favorite lunch spot. I'm also excited that everything in the new location is EXACTLY the same as the original. Flavor, options, menu, friendliness....all the same!!! I ordered the half chicken with coleslaw, green beans, and a side of yuca (I'd already eaten 3 by the time I remembered to take the picture 🤦‍♀️ )....and lots of extra aji amarillo! This made a great lunch (and dinner!!) Yes, this was $30 with a drink. But I got 2 full meals from it, so truly, just $15 for the portion! Needless to say, Mario's location at Tanger is my new favorite...

I was so excited to try this place, but they let me down ! I went and ordered the half a chicken dinner With Yuka & rice with a side of plantains around 8:30 pm . When I walked in, I could see fried Yuka had been sitting over the fryer , As soon as I ordered yuka The cashier asked For Yuka to be dropped ! I could overhear a conversation stating there’s already yuka sitting here . Proceeded to refry the Yuka ! My Yuka was hard and absolutely disgusting. My chicken was dry and huge. I was highly disappointed in my order I called the next day to speak to the manager. The cashier proceeded to tell me he was on the phone. Definitely won’t be...
