Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in North Charleston

I don't generally take the time to leave a review, but I had such a pleasant experience, I'd like to share and give a huge shout out to John. Tonight, he was greeting customers and sending them off with a happy "Cici-ya later". He has a lovely smile and a kind spirit and is also incredibly attentive. Not only was he doing a fabulous job clearing tables and stocking necessities, but he showed true hospitality. Noticing the number on our table he asked if we were waiting on wings. I explained that I ordered a bowl of toppings and wasn't in a hurry, knowing it probably takes a little longer to assemble and heat. I assumed as much when I ordered it and the cashier had never heard of such an offering. Side note: it's delicious, but reserved for those " gluten free" and mostly likely not the board or menu, though I didn't even look. I just remembered my mom eating one the only other time I've eaten at a CiCi's, feels like at least twenty years ago. Might have been during the Atkins craze. Anyway, it turned out, an employee spilled the hot contents of my mess of toppings bowl and another was heating. They were making a double to make up for the wait I was happily gorging on salad bar and didn't even notice the delay. John did, though, and I really appreciate that. These days, it isn't often that employees of any type of establishment care much. It's actually why I don't go out much. Why spend your hard earned money on over priced anything and terrible service? What a nice surprise to randomly decide on a cheap pizza buffet out of pure laziliness, not expecting more than to over eat and regret it and end up having such a nice time that you write about it to strangers on the internet. 10 out of 10. This place is so fun!! Being able to play games brings back memories of other pizza places we went to as kids... I would recommend this place to anyone wanting pizza.. it doesn't get any better than the pizza buffet!! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars all the way is because I ordered my pizza for pickup.. I don't even live a half of a mile away and the pizza was ice cold by the time I got there and the cheese was already hard rather than stringy like.. I personally believe they gave me a pizza they made hours ago and the person who ordered it never showed or some other reason as to why the pizza was old when it had just been ordered.. I called Cici's to inform them about this and 2 girls on the line told me they were not responsible for my pizza being cold when I didn't come in for a couple of hours after ordering it. I told them I left home and drove straight to the restaurant as soon as I ordered it and was there in less than 15 minutes which they had told me when I ordered it that it would be around 45 min wait. I am certain they gave me someone else's pizza who never showed up and that will explain why it was cold. It was getting close to closing time and I didn't have any desire to return there that night I asked if I could come tomorrow night for a fresh hot pizza. They Said no take what you get or cook it yourself if we give you a free pizza then everyone will want a free pizza... I told them I wasn't asking for a free pizza just the pizza I had paid for. I don't know why it took 2 of them to talk to me on rhe phone but they seemed to be encouraging each other to be more and more rude to me and the way they Laughed at each other was beyond annoying. I didn't get a new hot pizza and I have not been back there since...

It is Tuesday July 02, 2019... I felt compelled to write this review as I am actually sitting eating pizza. This manager Ms. FRANCIS I believe is her name (wears glasses). Should NOT & I repeat should NOT be managing anyone but her poor attitude. My husband & I sat here & watched as she screamed at an employee loud enough for us to hear clearly on the other side of the place. This is not the first time we have witnessed this same manager (the one with glasses) speak rudely & disrespectful to an employee. Then she proceeded to stand around & chat with a customer who was waiting for a pizza to go. WHY IS THIS LADY WORKING HERE? WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE HAVE HER MANAGE ANYONE! We will not be coming back here as long as she is here. Her poor treatment of her employees should get her FIRED. She tries to show off by being an a**hole! She is loud & rude. The question is why has she not been fired yet? I am completely disgusted with this so called manager who cannot even manage the filth spewing...
