Kohl's — Local services in North Township

Very disappointed with the service at the Highland Kohl's! I placed an online order that stated I could pick the item up same day. Once the order was placed, I called the store and asked if I should head that way because I notice they close in 1 hour.

The first rep gave reasonable customer service..ok fine.

I was transferred to a very condescending lady who had an attitude and spoke to me as if I had taken an employee orientation.

She stated that online orders needed to be placed before 8pm for same day pickup. I stated it would have been helpful if the website stated that info. She said (w an attitude) that would be a question for corporate. I asked for corporates number and she said she doesn't have it (with an attitude). Then she asked for my order number and I gave it to her and she said she doesn't see It yet. I said, I understand, can I have the number to corporate. She then stated again she doesn't see the order and that I would've needed to order before 8pm because that's how they work. I told her I understand but I had no way of knowing that because the website led me to believe I could pick it up today. Then I was asked my order number again, I obliged and was told it's not even in the system yet. I stated, "You JUST told me that." To which ahe replied, This is someone else." They had apparently switched representatives but offered no additional or new information and I still didn't have the number to coporate. I explained that I understand what they are saying but I still wanted the number to coporate especially since earlier in the convo I was also told nobody was able to process a refund. (I was in a situation where I wouldn't be able to handle this on a future date in person, so I was merely looking for a resolution- either a refund or my product.)

Finally the last lady with an attitude gave me an 800 number and said she was a manager named Becky.

This poor review could have been avoided if the representatives would have handled this professionally and/or if the website clearly stated any orders after 8pm would have to be picked up the next day.

Although I will be calling Kohl's coporate offices, I hope they consider putting stipulations on the website that prevent customers from having to be severely inconvenienced to no fault of their own and having to deal with the poor customer service attitudes of the reps & managers who obviously forgot their...

Kohl's reminds me of Sears. They have all the non fashionable ugliest clothing that nobody with sense of style wants. We are a family of 8, I can't ever find nice clothes or shoes for any of them. I have only bought Calvin Klein Undergarments for the boys here and on the first wash they fall apart, not sure if they sell here what they sell in outlets but that is what it seems to me. During Easter time, they do have unique choices. This Sephora doesn't carry Bobbi Brown brand. I shopped Sephora for Bobbi Brown since Ulta did not carry. Now Ulta sells Bobbi Brown AND CHANEL. I came in with my daughters to buy a Milk brand face Primer that Ulta doesn't carry. One of my daughters needed asap for Lallopalooza. They were all out, since we were already here my daughters picked an item each. A man, that later we found out his name is Travis, was following us around. I did not think anything of it until he followed us inside Ulta. Travis wasn't very tall and heavy. Travis showed a badge that looked like plastic, all out of breath. Grabbed my teen by her arm to ask for an item he allegedly saw her take. I started laughing and searched my daughter in front of him. Travis watched and smiled. Creepy! Travis was so close to us we were able to smell his breath. To make this man feel better I offered to go to my truck. Travis searched for who knows what as he wasn't even able to tell me what he was looking for. We had a lot of bags in my truck as again we were shopping for Lollapalooza's music festival. Clothes, Shoes, Makeup, Toiletries, etc. I am not sure what Travis deal was but as a small business owner I would suggest Kohl's should know Travis is a liability. I don't have time to take anyone to court but I WILL be writing and emailing a letter to headquarters. I spend over 100 dollars, then went to Ulta and spend 320. We have no reason to steal, I didn't even know people in Highland steal. I like to keep business in my community but honestly I will no longer shop at any Kohl's. They have refused to honor prices published in local fliers and have screwed up rewards points transactions. Since their stuff is always on sale, I have to believe the original prices are just marked up to begin with. Recently, I placed on order online for a pair of size 4 jeans that are never available in the store. The screen said they were on backorder and would be available on a certain date. They kept sending me e-mails saying my order would be shipped on a particular date. I'm waiting for my delivery only to receive an e-mail ON the delivery date saying what I had ordered was out of stock. What?! Most recently, my son returned a jacket I bought him for Christmas with a gift receipt. It turns out they didn't give him the credit for the amount I paid for it. They gave him about $20 less. I thought the purpose of the gift receipt was to insure the purchase price was honored. When I went to the customer service counter armed with my original receipt, a copy of the credit slip given to my son, and a duplicate of the gift receipt used for the return, I was told he must not have used the gift receipt in which case the current sales price would have been used. I told them that was not the current price - it had never gone that low - and there was nothing on my original receipt for the amount of his credit; then I was told I'd have to go to the Kohls he returned it to and deal with them. That's very inconvenient, but if I don't pursue it, they get to keep the $20 they shorted my son on the return.
