My parents went into Geek Squad last week with an appointment to get help with the cell phones that were sold to them by BEST BUY. All they needed was to have their information transferred from their old phones to their new phones. The associate they dealt with, by the name of Paul, completely made them feel like this issue was beneath his area of expertise (ahem, he didn't know what to do). When my parents explained that these things are complicated at their age (80's) he then proceeded to insult them by mentioning that his grandmother could easily manage her technology. Wow. Let's go on. He condescendingly called my mother "sweetheart" then told them, "I have other customers to deal with" - and then passed them on to another woman in the general cell phone area of Best Buy. She was nice, did her best, but ultimately could not help. While yes, you guessed it - Paul remained without any clients or appointments. Way to go Geek Squad, Best Buy, and Paul. Way to treat customers who nurtured and educated many of the students in the Lake County area. Too bad you couldn't really admit you didn't know what to do and really correct the problem at hand by dealing with the issue yourself or hey! by calling in the correct people to help instead of acting like a cool cat and passing it off to a person who didn't know. Too bad you didn't have my parents...

I then went to the physical store to activate a phone service that is advertised on their website and was told it was not available yet. Super fail. I then called back and the second person apologized but gave me the run around and could not get a manager on the phone. Thanks for wasting my time. Never again. Use...
