I got proposed to recently with the most beautiful engagement ring. However, I needed it to be re-sized because it was too large on my finger. My now fiancé said he already had it resized once because he thought it came in the wrong size. (So his information is already in the system) we go to the store inside the mall and waited to be helped on. A short Indian lady came over and asked us ‘what we needed.’ My fiancé said I need to get this ring resized. Without any emotion on her face, she turns to me and asks what size I need. I started to ask if I could get sized because I didn’t know what size I was and she doesn’t let me get the words out before she cuts me off. I get my size and now she asks my fiancé to pull up the paper work and insurance for the ring. Takes him to the other counter, and has him re-register as a new guest. I looked AT MY FIANCÉ, and asked him if he’s done this already because again, he’s already been in the store once to get the ring re-sized. She immediately cuts me off and said he’s not in the system, he needs to register, like almost arguing with me about it. I just okay because I honestly thought she was just having a bad day. She asked again to pull up the paper work and insurance…now my fiancé is sweating because he’s trying to find his paper work in his email and can’t find it, let me mind you, he’s looking for almost 7-8 minutes, he looked at me and said, ‘when I came in here last time, the guy just asked for my name and everything came up. I didn’t need to find the paper work, he made sure he took care of me.’ I VISIBLY saw the lady helping us huff out a sigh of air. She went on the computer and pulled up all the information about him and the ring and wrote it down, looked at my fiancé frantically scrolling through his emails and say, ‘I got it.’ Asked us if we needed anything else and gave us a receipt and said we’ll call when it’s done. That was it, not have a nice day, nothing. My fiancé was very disappointed because the ring wasn’t sent out until 3 day after going to the store, he said he wished he would’ve just waited for the guy that helped him before because he said the guy made sure it went out the next day. I’m not disappointed with the company, I’m disappointed with the customer service my fiancé received after spending thousands of dollars at...
Read moreLong story short... don't buy anything from here. My fiancé purchased my very expensive engagement ring from zales and we were beyond disappointed. I had a halo style ring and in less than a month it was missing 3 diamonds, thank goodness we purchased the warranty. So I took it back they assured me that the ring had been inspected and I would not have a problem in the future. (this ring was just about $2000) This happened twice more, every time they said the same thing that it was fixed and I should not have a problem. Again more diamonds fell out so they ordered me a new ring, the manager did not even inspect it before I came in to pick it up and it already had diamonds missing. I asked for a new ring of a different style which they would not allow me to have because it cost slightly more than the ring I had purchased. I finally spoke with the district manager over the phone after trying to contact him for over a month and he did not say anything more than I'm sorry. (this all happened within less than 4 months) I spent countless hours on hold trying to contact someone who cared which never happened, and I spent a lot of time and money traveling to and from the store for the several repairs needed. I returned the ring. Getting engaged is normally a happy fun experience for most couples but because we purchased a ring from zales our experience was not a positive experience at all. I would highly suggest purchasing jewelry anywhere else but here so you don't end up as...
Read moreDon't shop at this location unless you enjoy aggravation, incompetence, and a Twilight Zone type disconnect. My first engagement ring repeatedly lost stones, and had to go in for repairs 6 times in less than 2 years. Until I was able to speak to a Regional Manager in Ohio, I continuously got the run around from the Novi store. I decided to go tothe Flint location, where the manager there arranged with the regional manager to get a new ring for me. The Flint location was incredibly helpful. Recently, I decided to get my wedding and engagement rings soldered together. Seems simple. Nope! I went to the Novi location due to convenience, and with the cost of gas, financial reasons. When I revived my rings back, the wedding band was soldered on incorrectly. The wedding band should have been flush against the engagement ring, but there is a big gap, and it doesn't look right. They reluctantly said they'd send it out again to get fixed. The jeweler sent it back EXACTLY as it went out... soldered wrong. I told them to take them apart and give them back to me asap. That was 4 days ago. Still don't have it back. Save yourself a hassle and go to the...
