It's fine. I think there is a ton of hype for this place, and I honestly didn't get it. Im being lenient because this was only their third day open, and I understand they're training staff, and things are a work in progress.
We went in, and there was a pretty significant wait. We chose to go in because the drive-thru line was out onto the street. We waited at least 15 minutes to order. They were out of some items, so we weren't able to order everything we had planned to. We got 3 drinks and it cost $13, which felt like a lot for what we received.
The drinks are good, but not amazing. It was refreshing on a hot day. We tried an assortment of their menu. One blended drink, one "dirty soda", and a kids drink. The blended one was supposed to be watermelon but tasted nothing like watermelon. The "dirty soda" I found inedible. My wife liked it at first, but ended up throwing away more than half of it, saying that it was just too much (it was a small). My daughter loved her kids' drink.
I think this is a very social media friendly, younger generation, overly hyped place. Everyone in he place had their phone out taking pictures of their drinks. It seems like it's more of a destination just to be there than to actually have their products. I don't know, it was a weird atmosphere. Maybe I'm too...
Read moreI’m so excited to have a Swig close by! I’ve been twice in the 3 days they’ve been open. The drinks and pretzels were delicious as always! The staff members at the Oak Ridge location were friendly and efficient. In my first visit Lauren was super sweet while taking my order and recommended things to try. I even got to meet their Store Manager Whitney while she was assisting her staff with taking orders. She was very friendly during my interaction and clearly invested in the success of her team! Today I was greeted by more friendly faces and awesome service in the drive-thru. 10/10 definitely recommend the...
Read moreI love swig i’ve been going to the Alcoa location forever, i even emailed them to bring it to Oak Ridge! I’m glad it’s here, i’m mildly concerned about the short drive thru the one in alcoa is huge and is often filled up. Drive thru is slow but it will take time for the team to learn and adjust!! Beats sonic drinks every time!
EDIT: This is exactly what i was worried about the drive thru sucks, it takes ages and blocks an entire portion of the street, i have no idea why they put a popular chain in the SMALLEST little area, not smart thinking on their end. maybe they will...
