Lakeshore Produce — Local services in Oakland

I love my Lakeshore produce store! It's 10min away from home and always good for last minute shopping on groceries before making lunch/dinner when it's too late/too far to go to Whole Foods or catching up on organic fruits and veggies if I miss my beloved farmers market on Grand.

I usually come here for indian things like spices, curry leaves, small green chillies, fresh coriander leaves, lemons, limes etc but also for other regular veggies such as small persian cucumber, organic tomatoes, organic salad leaves, organic green onions etc etc. Occasionally/rarely buy dairy products like milk and eggs.

But most of all, I love it's a family run shop where you get to meet the daughter, the mother and the uncle and they are always nice and friendly and helpful. Nothing better than supporting your local neighbours. Their prices are pretty affordable compared to big chains like whole foods.

Have never tried their pad thai and spring rolls but always been tempted to :)...

Amazing little produce shop in a convenient location. They have a solid selection of produce, but their selection of spices and ethnic groceries is incredible. Outstanding selection for such a small place. Reminds me of a NYC Bodega in terms of variety and quality of products offered.
