I gave this place two trys. It is across the street from Chipotle where I was going. But I felt I didn't get the value for my money. I tried a couple things here. Both times with friends. I had the salad and they had the sandwich. First time I had the kale salad. Normal chicken. It was ok but dry. I want the juiicy tidbits the variety. Not the stripped skin dry breast in my salad! Im not opting for the salad for health or low fat reasons, only because i don't want the gluten. But give me the fat the good stuff. The fried gluten free chicken was awful. The breading was heavy dry, salty, and well better just opt out of the breading replacement in general. The rotiserrie chicken looks juicy and golden. But you can not specify the cut of the chicken you want. I tried the 2nd time around, specificaly requesting dark meat, thigh meat. The employee looked puzzled and said he will put it on the notes, but they "don;t do the specify the cut you want".But he will let them know in the kitchen.(which he did, i saw him go back and mention it) But my notes were ignored. I still got the dry breast deskinned :( I was eating it...and well .. Now the second time I got the pleasure of sitting by the assembly line. The worker making my friends sandwhich , she was weaing gloves. The worker making my salad though. I saw her clean the surface, handle sprays, rags. Go to the salad box, grab the leaves with her bare hands, put dressing etc. Mix it with her hands. Then go touch the frdge with her bare hands to grab another plastic bin of precut salad, and continue to make another. Then grab the garbage can and move it. I lost my apetite then and there. Especially with the outbreak of Hep A in San Diego. You should not be handling salad leaves with your bare hands, this is not raw meat that your about to cook in high heat etc. I walked out and won't be going back. It is also over priced for the amount of protein you get if your an active guy like me. I wish them best of luck and to perhaps try to adress the bare hands salad issue (the only employee wearing gloves was the sandwich lady, out of a group of 6 or so)as well as specify the type of meat you want( and I want the skin too) instead of assuming I want dry chicken breast in my salad, especially when i specify i don't. Because its deemed healthy. Won't...

They were busy from the start but they seemed to manage the workload pretty well. The food has been mostly good, but they occasionally overcook the chicken, which is both evident in the flipped salads and entrees.
However, in the last few weeks, the service ethos there has noticeably tanked. When calling in an order, they'd often put me on hold and then never pick up. And when I call back, noting my concerns, they often make immature and lame excuses which I just chalk up to poor training and staff management practices. But last week they lost me as a customer. I had called in and was put on hold. I waited 6 minutes, hung up and called back. Same guy answered. Noting my concerns I was again given lame excuses by someone who seemed completely overwhelmed and who told me to calm down just because I was expressing my concerns. I agreed to go back on hold because I was hungry! I held my tongue and waited over 15 minutes and no one picked up, so I hung up and called again. The person that picked up, a completely different person, acted like I was from Mars when I explained to her what was going on. I asked to speak to the manager, who apparently wasn't available as they had gone home. I guess they were working with no manager present. Oops! I told her they'd lost a customer and hung up.
This last thing is what definitely tilted the poor service scales. A week ago I wrote them via the form on their website, explaining what happened. I never heard back from anyone. This indicates some very basic problems with the way they run their business. They either don't give a hoot, they just aren't training their people well enough or they just have poor management practices, or any combination of all three. In my opinion this keeps pointing back to they don't care. Maybe they feel it doesn't matter that they lose a customer because they have just a high volume of people buying their product. Eventually, these practices will continue to turn more people away.
(Previous Review) Great food but wondering why they don't update the website with pictures of what they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have Celiac Disease and I have to eat gluten free because of it. I ran across Proposition Chicken on an eat gluten free app and decided to try it. Almost everything on the menu can be ordered gluten free including the fried chicken. I was so excited to eat fried chicken again.
I ordered a gluten free fried chicken sandwich. It comes on gluten free bread and it was so delicious. I also switched the chips out for fries. The fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer, so thereās no risk of cross contamination.
If the fries happen to be served with mayo, do not eat the mayo if you have celiac or are gluten intolerant as the mayo served with the fries is malted mayo, so it contains gluten. The mayo they put on the sandwich is regular mayo.
The location, however, is small and there are limited places to sit to stay to eat. They were preparing a catering order and took up one of the three tables to do so. This meant having to sit at the bar style seats by the front window. This wouldnāt be bad if by yourself, but having others with you, makes it not as nice. The chairs they have are also only meant for really skinny people to be able to sit all the way back in as the curve of the seat back is not wide enough.
Overall, I am very happy with my visit and plan on returning when Iām...
