No visit to Ocean City is complete without a visit to Colette. In fact, for us anyway, Colette's is a destination: a place to go when we want to feel special.

There are people who follow fashion. And there are those people who always somehow seem to be just half a step ahead. This is a boutique run by people who of course understand and appreciate mainstream but, crucially, who also understand the dynamics of personality and who know how to surf just that little bit ahead.

The staff are astonishingly proficient. We never, ever feel that anyone is trying to 'sell' us anything. But we always leave, laden with bags and a happy feeling that someone has looked at us, considered us, known us, and, not transformed us exactly, but given us outfits and accessories which let us become the people who are hidden inside us.
