Best Breakfast Pricing on the Island—A Local Gem Worth Experiencing Ready’s has been a longstanding stop for me, offering an affordable and satisfying breakfast in a town where dining out can often be pricey. While my visits are typically quick and geared toward takeout, the experience changes considerably if you opt for the full sit-down Sunday brunch. Be prepared to wait, as seating is limited and the line reflects its popularity. Despite this, the atmosphere of this charming mini diner makes it worth the occasional delay. My go-to order is a simple yet perfectly executed pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich, paired with a refreshing glass of pineapple juice—a rarity in OC that sets Ready’s apart. While their grilled cinnamon rolls and coffee haven’t impressed me personally, they’re favorites among my family, showcasing the variety this spot offers. Lunch options are equally satisfying, and the willingness to customize orders adds a personal touch that can be hard to find in similar establishments. That said, my experiences here haven’t been without the occasional hiccup. On one visit, a waitress seemed overly concerned that we might leave without paying, repeatedly asking us to settle our bill with her rather than at the front, which was uncharacteristic of the generally warm and accommodating service I’ve come to expect. Quirks aside, Ready’s remains an exceptional value, especially on an island where dining often comes with a premium. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite to go or settling in for a meal, it’s a spot worth trying for its pricing, charm, and solid breakfast staples.

We finally got to "Ready's" for breakfast and very glad we did! 😁 The food and old Ocean City come off the beach and grab a quick bite charm was comforting. Mostly counter and booth seating (mine was like a recliner 😄) Our server Jill and the chef Doug, were super friendly and informative, Doug actually sat with us for a bit and discussed his recipe for the delicious creamed chipped beef that I ordered among other topics! 😊 ...and by the way they are the owners as well! 😉👌🏻 We will definitely be back to try the Eggs Benedict that I'm hearing good things about! 🍳😋 A very hometown friendly feel to this nostalgic, vintage eatery, thanks again Doug and Jill... 🥰👍🏻

Iconic vintage home town comfort food feel restaurant is a treat if you are looking for a known hole in the wall restaurant. Coffee is fresh. We ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy on the side and stuffed French toast . These were both excellent recommendations provide by Monica our most personable waitress who who began as a customer herself. We went for lunch on a Tuesday and were seated without a wait. It's evident regulars dine here as most were greeted by name . Highly recommend.

Haven’t been here ages. I’m local so decided stop in for breakfast with girlfriend this morning. We went thinking would be too crowded now summer winding down. Wasn’t crowded was greeted by lovely lady asking we like anything drink we had coffee was extremely old tasty (mind you we went 8am). Our waitress came over asked we ready order we ask her give us minutes look menu and we did after receiving the food which we both had blueberry pancakes and bacon no one bothered asking us we needed anything or how was everything etc. we felt like we weren’t welcome as were assuming regular customers came in greeted by name. We got handed the bill before asking we like anything else. I use work Ocean City go often back late 80 early 90 here for breakfast and then lunch. Sadly we rarely write bad reviews but we definitely wouldn’t go back sadly only pleasant person this morning was host and women who bought coffee not waitress she was annoyed from get go sat with her other customers few times gave wrong orders wrong table which again they weren’t busy that time morning my point was rushing feeling what should have been relaxing breakfast with friends. Too many other options eat over there saying goes...

If I'm going to sit down and eat breakfast this is a good option. Their food is good and the prices are fair in comparison to other breakfast locations in town. I tried take out here on a number of occasions but always had a bad experience with the waitress who works the counter and the take out customers. She pays little or no attention to take out customers and while I'm in a hurry and waiting for a coffee and toasted bagel, the server is having extensive conversations with her regular customers and disrespects me as a take out customer who is in a hurry. I have tried this several times with the same experience each time to the point where she knew I was in a hurry and purposefully kept me waiting while the bagel was ready for pickup but she was busy with her conversations with other more interesting customers. I'm no longer a customer of this business. Another Ocean City business that will only accept cash as payment. I wonder why, in this day and age this owner refuses to move with the times and forego all that...
