The Beach Place — Local services in Ocean City

If I could give it less stars I would. My family and another went into the shop after a week in ocean city. We told the kids they could all get hermit crabs. They all picked out shirts, gifts for friends and family and 1 hermit crab each, including the crate, food, sponge and accessories. All in all we spent close to $500 all in between two families. When we got back to our room the kids all decided to stay together in one room to watch the crabs crawl around their tanks. In the morning, one of the crabs were dead. When we returned to the store to ask for an exchange, they told us no. It was our fault and asked what we did to it. We said absolutely nothing. Wet the sponge like they told us, sprinkled some food and went to sleep. The manager said it must’ve been too cold. We explained the other two were fine. She then said we must’ve done something and refused an exchange or refund. How hard would it have been to give us another crab after we spent all that money. Poor business. Yesterday they would’ve gotten a 5 star but because of the way they handled this showed they don’t care about customer service. Remember. I came here sep 26th and bought this keychain for my daughter along with a few other things. Can someone who works here please confirm and maybe help me get my receipt from this transaction. My 9 year old is being bullied at school. A girl has stolen her keychains for the second time along with making fun of her and calling her bad names. We bought two pairs of swim shoes, one pair busted open before we even got to the shore

We also bought a swimming tube from there that wouldn't stay closed where the nozzle is, keeps popping out and won't hold air.

Literally half the stuff we bought was faulty. I understand it's a $10 and under store, but I at least expected a couple uses out of all these items.
