I was in Biloxi on a gambling trip with my husband. We decided to go Antiques shopping so I googled Antiques near me. Bernard Clark's popped up so we drove there. When we got there I walked inside looked around picked up a few items and Bernard said set them on the counter so I did then he proceeds to tell me he has bags of Junk Jewelry in the back if I would like to look at some I said yes he took me back there seemed like a very friendly old man... I got two bags of jewelry one was $35 and one was $45 he told me to sit those on the counter, as well, while I continued to look. I heard him rattling jewelry and was thinking in my head at the time that maybe he found more junk jewelry he would like me to look at. I continued looking and forgot all about the Junk Jewelry. When I got home and looked at the Junk Jewelry that I had purchased I realized that he had taken half of the jewelry out of the $45 gallon ziplock bag so instead of me getting a gallon Ziploc bag I now had half of a gallon ziplock bag of jewelry and was very disappointed that he had done that to me. My ⚠️ WARNING to everyone is to WATCH THIS OLD MAN around your stuff that you plan to purchase!!! If I had known that he was going to do that I never would have left the items on his counter. That is BAD BUSINESS!!!! I would have NEVER paid $45 for what he left inside that bag!!!! I spent $300 in his shop that day! Note: He also broke a very fragile bracelet that I paid him $47 for... I am assuming that he acid tested it while I had my back turned thinking it may have been real gold because the bracelet has a hole in it, dents and damage that was not there when I agreed to purchase it. And I told him that I was purchasing it as a gift for a lady friend. It is now absolute garbage. 😥 FYI: His prices are entirely too high!!!! Note: He knows what he did! And after reading this he will know exactly who I am! I won't ever be going back to his store! Nor will I ever attend one of his estate sales. If you are looking to pay $47, $65, $87 for COSTUME jewelry per ring, this is your place! New costume jewelry rings!...
Read moreAlthough we went there while they were in the process of moving, so maybe the best stuff was already packed up, what we saw was pitiful. Everything was wildly overpriced and most of what they had were reproductions and thrift store items rather than actual antiques. However, everything was priced as if it was antique. The salesperson, who I believe was the owner, was impolite, unfriendly, and not very knowledgeable. We'll reserve final judgement for when they're in their new place, but don't...
