So I love this store but if youāre a parent of a young adult. Iād be cautious having your kid work here. For my child itās workable. However there has been several issues with managers not giving clear information. And most recently they are required to work all weekends unless request off which is totally fine. However, my child was told to request off 2 weeks in advance. She did. The manager came up to her and said,āso you requested off 2 weeks in advanced like you were supposed to but something about it had to be in Tuesday before or something she said āper the handbookā I asked my daughter for the handbook and it says nothing about that. In fact it states that the schedule is out weekly on each Saturday for the following Monday work week. Give 2 week notice, or per manager rules. My problem is how can you tell an employee to do one thing and then they do. Then deny it adding more stipulations after they did what they was told. All that tells me is that they have no intentions of giving these employees weekends off. She hasnāt been there long but one weekend off every other month shouldnāt be an issue. Her siblings were coming to visit from Kansas and she hasnāt seen them since July. She will still get to see them half the time. Itās just the principal of the way the manager is handling things. Posted with this post is the policy. If yāall are gonna use the policy towards an employee then maybe follow it yourself and post weekly schedules and not 2 weeks out therefore refusing peopleās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreeverytime ive gone here.. i can never get everything in one go.. theyre ALWAYS out of multiple things. ALWAYS. if you wanna get everything in one shop.. you have to go somewhere else . like Target edit: i gave it another try tonight because Homeland was closed. wow. such a HUGE difference in customer service. i asked for a bundle of wood. and the lady taking a break in front of customer service sitting was like.. "YOU GOTTA GO PICK IT UP AND BRING IT OVER" i asked if they had a tag or scan bar. the kid checking me out briefly looked and said no.. " and the lady proceeded to comment about how she wasnt gonna do it.. and that that was the customers job.. i told her i had a bad back and i wanted to lift and carry that big thing the least i could.. and she said "put it in you cart" so the kid checking me out said " i guess ill do it" .. thats when i said "forget it ill get it at homeland tomorrow" they were all relieved and said ok. at homeland.. you say i want a bag of firewood.. and then when you leave you grab the firewood.. and they have them outside within reach. at crest they had them inside and the top one which is the only one you can grab.. is like already 7 feet up in the air.. so its not easy for someone with a bad back or a short person.. or someone with any kind of physical issue . a bad arm.. anything.. and DO NOT EXPECT HELP FROM CREST STAFF. THEYRE ALL ALLERGIC TO HELPING. ITS PATHETIC. i learned my lesson. i will never shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWORKING HERE IS A NIGHTMARE.
Management is beyond unprofessional to their employees.
Cashiers that work 8 hours are required a 30 minute break but the ones responsible for giving them CONSTANTLY FORGET. Sometimes we won't even get one because they're too busy on their phones and talking to check. If we ask them, they get annoyed out prolong our waiting because they're petty.
Night shift works extra long hours and are also forgotten when it comes to breaks. Sometimes they'll have only 1 person working all night to stock shelves and unload trucks for everyone else. The night manager constantly leaves and comes in late and his roommate (an employee) is allowed to ditch work because his friend is the manager.
We are also treated like dogs as they bark commands at us and call us "bodies" instead of employees. You are not treated as an individual the company cares about but instead, a person at their disposal. We are told we can be replaced very easily and any concerns or complaints we have about management is not taken seriously. Managers will laugh in our faces and make fun of us because we're "below them" in their words. Apparently we mean nothing to them in this hierarchy. It is shameful to see a company work this way.
If you want to work here I advise you go elsewhere where you are treated more fairly. I am about to leave this company after a visit to the Better...
