I’m not sure what you need to do in order to be treated nicely here. The front desk staff is not very friendly….. or welcoming…. This is beside the point of this review but I had came in a week prior for a full set and the gel polish had come off. When she was asking what I was needing done, I communicated the polish issue and she immediately let me know the fix would not be free since it was a week ago…. I didn’t assume it would be so the comment came across weird and rude but whatever.
They have the opportunity to make customers feel comfortable, cared for, and confident from the minute they enter the door…. Which is powerful for any nail business...it is the opposite here you can anticipate to be uncomfortable, uncared for, and less confident.
I don’t expect someone to be friendly 100% of the time… because let’s be real people have off days… and you never know what someone is going through… but the standard should at least exist. Greetings aside…. Let’s talk nails and unprofessional melts down…..
My nail tech Chloe was given a picture to follow exactly because naturally I’m indecisive and picky so as a result I go in knowing what I want to avoid any frustration or confusion on my part or vice versa.
As she begins the design it starts to look different from the picture… rainbow is curved on the corner vs straight across, lines look sloppy, pink clear coat underneath thick and sloppy near the nail beds.I communicated I would prefer her to stick to the original design she shrugged in frustration and told me she could fix it at the end.
About the same time she communicates to me that they’re closing in 30 minutes and my total would be $65 for a fill and they would like me to pay now. I have never paid prior to completion before, I’m uncomfortable paying for a service that is not completed, and that I’m not currently happy with. I nicely expressed I would rather wait until we were done and was meet with the same lack of professional and frustration.
As we start to move along with my the design process I accidentally nicked the corner of the nail underneath the light. Chloe gets visibly upset that the accident occurred. When I spoke up for myself and told her it was an accident that I was only human and she was the professional here. She threw her tools down and started yelling in their language to the other staff members.
A male technician comes to her aid fix the design. However, he states he is going to have to start all over because it’s very sloppy. His words “clumpy” and “uneven lines” At least he acknowledged her work was not satisfactory, but when I communicated, her reaction was unprofessional, and concerning, he ignored me and offered no apology. I asked what I did to be treated that way and again some lame excuse. “Idk why she was like that”
I’m disappointed it’s no longer a business I will frequent but I am relieved to know what I do now. I do encourage anyone considering using this salon to do further research for yourself.I was shocked to find dozen of similar reviews. Good luck ladies and after two hours I did finally get something similar...
Read moreA few days ago I went in to get my nails done and was seated with nail tech named Ashley. When she sat down to do my nails, she basically threw the book at me and told me to pick a color, and not once did she greet me. I picked between two colors and I asked her if I could see what they look like on one of my nails first before deciding which color I wanted. She looked at me like I was crazy and proceeded to put the color on her fingernails which defeats the whole purpose of seeing what it looks like on me.. when I asked her to see it again on my hand she put one tiny dot at the top of my nail and rolled her eyes. She was extremely rude and had an attitude my entire experience. While she proceeded to paint my nails, I looked at my first hand after she was done, and I said I don’t really like this color and she took my hand and put it in the LED light and told me “ just put it in the light” I didn’t want any confrontation so I thought to myself maybe after a few coats it’ll look better, but I should have been more adamant on changing the color while I was getting done, but because of her attitude, I was hesitant, especially when I initially told her after the first hand was done that I didn’t like the color. On top of all of that, she was very rough drilling and smoothing my nails out and after I got in my car, I noticed that a few nails were not filed down smoothly, and you could see the unevenness and roughness of my nails through the polish. I called the nail salon and spoke to the manager, and she basically told me that if I wanted a color change or to get my nails fixed that I would have to pay.. I explained the entire story to her and she said, even though my nail was not file evenly, I would still have to pay for everything to get redone out-of-pocket, which I think is very unfair. Now I do think I should have said something while I was there before leaving which I will do better next time. I just didn’t want any issues since nail tech. Ashley was having a really bad attitude and really mean during the experience. The manager was also very rude on the phone and did not seem to care that her nail tech was being unprofessional . This is another reason why a lot of people have veered away from nail salons and been doing nails at home. I have been going here for over a year and I will never go back. Out of all the negative reviews on here please think twice about going here. The one on Garth Brooks is...
Read moreI went last weekend to get my nails done for a wedding that I was going to. I came in with short nails that had gel polish on them, but I asked for a new full set of dip with extra length so they could be medium length. I waited about 30 mins before sitting down with a male nail tech. To me, he seemed like he might be a manager, but I'm not sure. He never once asked what I wanted. I told him while he was removing the gel that I wanted oval nails with extra length and asked if that was okay, he nodded and then asked if I want a fill. I said I want a full set. He then proceeded to start applying dip on my nails without adding tips first, and after a couple of nails I asked if he can please add tips since I wanted extra length. He flat out told me no, that's not possible and that he can file my (short!) nails to a point and they will look longer. I definitely did not want that, so I sat for a second while he started on my third nail and then decided to stand up for myself, which is really hard for me to do. I told him that since I'm paying a lot of money for nails that will be on for at least 2 weeks, I want what I came in here for. He told me no again. So I had to insist for a third time - this time he said ok, but the way he handled my nails afterwards was so rude! He was very rough with my hands and started talking in a way that seemed like he might be bad-mouthing me, but I don't know for sure, I'm just guessing by the body language and gesturing at me. The way he used the e-file on my hands was very rough and hurt but I was already nervous about asking for what I wanted and didn't say anything. I did end up getting what I asked for, but the way he treated me made me feel like I was a burden and not a paying customer. Another issue I had was he did not push back my cuticles and he applied dip with a slight gap so they looked 2 weeks grown out already. 7 days later and they looked like I have been needing a fill for weeks. For some reason, I felt bad for asking him to start over so I still tipped at the end. I will never come back to this place. Learn to treat your customers like they are putting food on your table, because they are. Also, one of my nails broke literally in half horizontally pretty high up on the nail bed and tore off part of my actual nail. I'm not rough with my hands, but I think that could have been avoided if my nails had an apex (this is standard at...
