We got off to a bad start when we walked in the door and the 2 women that went in before us were blocking us getting into the establishment, that setup is not very good for seating people or letting them leave. Then the girl saw us standing there and ask how many? She was young so we just figured, like most teens today, she couldn't count. Heather was our waitress and she was GOOD!! She didn't rush us, explained every thing we ask about, and when I had a complaint - she ask how I wanted to handle it and took care of the issue immediately. This was our first time here and they haven't been opened very long so we were excited to try it. We WILL try it again because Heather acted so quickly and the staff seemed to recognize the problem!! Our food came out in a timely manner and was cooked to perfection - the eggs were good and the bacon was done (no rubbery parts). My husband patty melt was done and the sauce they served with it was delicious! So we were seated with a view of the kitchen/ serving area, our food came up, when the cook set it up on the counter a piece of the extra bacon slid partial of the plate - some woman walked up (with ungloved hands) and started handling the bacon, it was gross to watch and I was certainly NOT going to eat it after watching her handle it! When she delivered the food, I told Heather about what I saw, she said she would take it off the bill. It was obvious to us that she reported what happened because the next time we saw that girl at the counter she was wearing gloves as were others working that station. I did see a couple of other things I questioned...like the wiping off of plates being stacked in that area with bar towels, a woman wiping the counter with the same towel and another wiping something off of a plated dish going out with the same towel. With covid, flu and cold season, etc...our food should be handled with care! The things I questioned cost Jam a couple of stars. Please try it and make sure you leave a review, I hope you...
Read moreThe atmosphere was great! The staff was outstanding. The choice of meals on the menu seemed off to me. Items were scattered onto 3 different menus and 2 of them aren’t available online. We went after 10:30am on a Tuesday and waited 2 minutes to be seated so that was great especially with two rowdy toddler boys. I wish they had more options of combining pancakes with eggs and it not cost extra. The food looked amazing we just wish it tasted as good and fresh as it looked. It was bland. It lacked the flavor you’d think you’d get looking at your dish. I did add chorizo to my dish and it tasted more like chili meat. It ruined it for me but everything was fresh it just didn’t have the flavor we had hoped for from the ingredients listed. A SMALL side of grits barely even a cup was $4.50! That’s a bit extreme. The biscuits were over cooked. The peach jalapeño jam barely tasted like peach jam. The strawberry jam was where it’s at. The apple butter tasted great at first then you were hit with too much sugar and it ruined it for me. The latte was great but they charge you $0.75 for syrup. I assumed I got one pump. The coffee was alright and I do love that they use coffee ice cubes so your coffee isn’t watered down with water ice cubes. We paid $8 for one small pancake and a sausage patty for a kids meal. That really sucked in my opinion. The pancakes are fluffy and I wish we could’ve tried the flavored ones but everything was just bland and disappointing because the photo reviews have been great that we’ve seen on Facebook. It’s not worth the hype for us. For 2 adults and 2 toddlers we spent $73.21 including the tip. Our waitress was our favorite thing about this place. She was so sweet and helpful and thought of things we didn’t even think of to give us the best experience. You should give this place a try because everyone’s taste preferences are different but this place...
Read moreWe had a very mixed experience here. The restaurant was really busy when we got there but we were seated within five minutes(great). But we sat waiting to order drinks for about ten minutes, which I don't exactly mind. But 3 different people walked by to tell us our waitress would be with us soon. Unfortunately none of them mentioned, including our waitress, that the coffee is on a separate menu and since we'd never eaten here before i didn't know. So I ended up ordering tea (which was amazing though so glad I did, but they did not give me a spoon to stir it with). It was another ten minutes before our waitress came over and took our order. Then we waited about 40 minutes for our food which I felt was excessive, especially for breakfast food. People who came in at the same time as us were served and gone by the time our food arrived. It was also a little unnerving that our waitress ran by every 5-10 minutes and shouted at us "are you doing alright??" But never actually stopped to hear the answer because she just kept moving. I would have preferred she just didn't ask if she wasn't going to listen for the answer. We were also disturbed to see that they let someone bring a puppy inside and sit at a table with it in their lap. Which violates healthcodes and could cause issues for people with dog allergies. Even service dogs are required to stay on the floor in a restaurant so I'm not sure why this was allowed. So that's something to be aware of if you have pet allergies that dogs are allowed at the tables and on seats.
We finally got the food, a burger and creme brulee pancakes. Both were excellent but the hashbrowns we ordered had a bit of an odd taste. I don't recommend them. The check came right away though so at least we were able to leave quickly once we were...
