Went in here to have a battery replaced on my watch. Typical repair which has costed me about 25 dollars. I have had it done here twice before. So I came back expecting the same results. Usually I would hand them my watch, theyd take it to the back. I’d chit chat w the salesman about seiko and other watches they have. Nerd out and talk about watches with someone who also shares the intrest. While my watch got a new battery. However, this time, the short blond hair chubby faced lady acted like I wasn't there until I was the last person there. Despite her just standing there listening to her co-worker talk to another customer. When the blond haired lady did manage to remember she was at work she asked me if she could help me. I told her I needed a battery for my watch. She immediately passed me off to the Spanish lady. The Spanish lady looked at my watch and decided that my watch needed oiled, cleaned, and a battery. Despite me telling her no she insisted that they could not fix my watch without doing the other stuff. Telling me that I had a high end watch and that it had to be serviced properly. It needed a special battery and that I would have to leave the watch with them and they would call me when it was done. I had this particular watch for almost twenty years. So it would take about five minutes, for a professional, to change the battery. Like I said, Ive done this before. Ive done it here, and Ive done it with this watch. To tell me the battery can not be changed without servicing the watch at a cost of 85 dollars is absurd. Thankfully I was able to find a jewelry store that charged me eight dollars for the battery. Said they'd charge me thirty dollars to “service” it. Im glad that woman at huntington “fine jewelers” tried to scam me cause it made me explore other options. Going to the closest place to have my jewelry fixed made me feel comfortable going here. Such a costly mistake on my behalf. Thank you for waking me up spanish lady. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon looking for something simple that I can wear every day in my ears. I can't wear fake jewel because my ears reactive badly and will close up. Ryan greeted me right away. I was honest with him and told him that I was not looking to spend hundreds of dollars on earrings but wanted something that was simple that would go with the necklace my husband got me. The staff were incredibly accommodating to my personal situation, and they ensured that I received what I initially asked for. My situation become more complicated when, after I made an order with them, I made the wrong assumptions on the ring I ordered.. Not only did they help me at the last minute by going out of their way to stop the custom job, but they searched and found a stunning ring, fitting exactly the new profile I was looking for.
